All I can say is THANK YOU MIAMI!!!

This was my first (and sadly only) night in Miami, as I was in town for the Shuttle launch, which got scrubbed until January.

Anyway, special thanks to QUEENOFSPACE aka Jackie for getting me on her comp list at literally the last minute. That was so awesome of you!

I loved the venue and Sander tore that place apart! I had to leave around 4 to catch a flight that morning, but I am so glad I stayed up until then. I had to say that the line setup was pretty lame, but I can see why they checked IDs so many times. They totally nailed a chick with a fake in front of us (after someone had already cleared her), so good for them. Other than that...I don't know what this open bar business was that you guys are talking about (maybe it was for someone's bday or vip?), but I just loved the fact that I could drink all night long with no 1:30/2am cutoff like out here in Los Angeles.

Bummer that I didn't get to meet any TAs, but I'm pretty sure that I'll be back for WMC! I'll try to post some pics/vids soon.

the open bar was until a certain time, at the bar to the left when facing the dj. but i still believe they water down the liquor for the open bar. i drank three cranberry-vodkas in the matter of 30-40 min and i felt literally NOTHING from it. then sander got on and it was too good i didn't bother going back to the bar, would have been a waste of sander time!

Hmm, there is hope for my camera. It seems absolutely no sound works on any vids, so if I can figure that out, then I'll see if the camera has sound too. Will be a very slow process since I just got shoulder surgery this morning, so one arm + lots of drugs takesa a long time to do anything. I'll see what I can do as fast as I can, my vids are pretty good quality, so I want to get them up.

sorry i couldnt make it down for this show as i had another party to attend to... but hopefully somebody else worthy will get me to come down again in the near future but jan-feb time frame is the dead period for Florida ...

yep! 1am and on comes sander!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! starts it off a little slow, again testing the waters, and there was a well known ID in the first couple tracks, but out of the first half hour i didnt recognize much at all. then sander starts by dropping back by popular demand and since some people actually recognize it, space really started taking off. after this point sander pretty much just dropped the bang a little harder and a little faster with every track. it was non-stop, jumping up and down, screaming sander (i lost my voice last night), and simply dancing my ass off. sickest set ive ever heard at space. just check the partial tracklist. theres some more obvious IDs that i forgot, so hopefully someone can throw some in there. sander came on at 1am and stopped around 4:15-4:20.

sander looked like he was having such a blast too. total crowd interaction and everything. we had some shirts made that said "SANDER VAN FUCKING DOORN" and sander immediately saw the shirts on us within 3 minutes of being in the booth. he pointed, smiled, and gave a thumbs up to us. we actually made a shirt for sander too and about an hour into his set, got it to him.

mixing was on fucking point all night long. the longer he plays and the more often he plays, his mixing keeps getting better and better. last night i didnt hear one fuck up. first couple times i saw him during wmc this past year, he did fuck up quite a bit, but his mixing really has come a long way! the more he does it too, the more his mixing gets more original. and thats always a big plus.

now about the crowd, as i always have to do this kind of review too. first of all, space was packed. no one had any clue who sander van doorn was, people were just there for the free drinks and shit, but sander kept everyone there! even when we got there around 11, we encountered several people who already had way too many drinks. before sander you saw mostly drunk as fuck people stumbling around. after sander came on you saw a lot of people rolling their tits off. just some examples... there was a couple SLOW DANCING like you would at a wedding or some shit right in the middle of a high energy track. there was the typical guy with only half of his shirt buttoned up having his chest sucked by some bitch. there was this guy making out with 2 chicks at the same time at the bar. there were many a folks dancing like fools and so on and so on. i got bumped into a hell of a lot. people dont know how to say excuse me or im sorry, but thats what you expect to get when you let all the kiddies in for free and drink free. i didnt really let it bother me as i was there for sander and nothing else, but how some of you do this week in and week out, i do not comprehend. im too old for this shit.

just one more complaint, then the review will be over. it was supposed to be a positive review, but i gotta throw this in too... when the free drinks were on, we went to some short bartender and the first two rounds of drinks were cool, tipped em good of course to keep em coming back to us and all, but when went back for a 3rd round, we were standing there forever. some guy who came way after us is standing next to us, and the bartender goes up to him to ask him what he wants. he says "she was here first" referring to my gf and the bartender says "well that doesnt matter" or some shit. WTF?! ive never seen such a dick before. what does it matter whos drink he does first? so after we finally got our drinks we barely tip him and hes like "thats it?" yea mother******. thats it. then we went to the tall black guy who is always cool as shit.

you have no idea how many people asked us "what does your shirt mean?" LOL!





So basically you have a problem with people getting drunk and fucked up at a NIGHT CLUB.
You should just invest your money into a breathalizer and just give random sobriety checks to everyone you deam as too fucked up to be there.
That seems like your best solution to your problem.

Heh, thanks bud. Now I just know to not zoom in and out too much, and try not to dance too much =P. But the quality came out pretty decent for both video and sound, not bad.

And I'm gonna figure out that last ID tomorrow, pissing me off too!

yea man, i know how it is. i was trying so hard to get as many vids as i could and also dance but also get the tracklist down. lol. first time ive ever tried it but im pretty happy with it. got a good 50% of it.

the rest of my vids ill hopefully post tomorrow, got em all IDed except 2.

all my pics of sander/space came out pretty bad so i wont even bother posting them. my camera takes awesome vids at space but the pics come out terrible. dunno what to do about that. regular pics come out perfect though. so i dunno.

Here are some of the pics I took. Nothing too special. The lighting in Space doesn't make for good photos. It's either way too dark or way too bright.
