Awesome remixes, both of them.

Carla's Theme is also very .

Enervate is probably still my favorite. Proper anthem trance -- yes, it exists! Makes my cynical heart yearn for a warehouse of photon beams and glowsticks, and that's really something.

My second favorite, which I don't see mentioned near as much, is the flipside to Enervate on the original Hook pressing: Perpetua. That one got rotation from Lawrence back in the day as well.

Why does nobody mention:-

Cascade - Electronique
Kinetic - Phoenix

they are amazing.

Where are they now?

Posted by Stanza on Dec-16-2007 05:10:

Last tune I heard from them was their remix of 'Turn out the Lights' by M.I.K.E which was back in 2003. They have gonequiet ever since of the brothers had a baby back in 2004 or something...

Actually dave had his son around 2002, when chronology was released. i guess that was their swan song?

Like so many doomed lineages, they attempted to adapt to changing conditions but couldn't compete. The list of trance producers who disappeared around 2003 is long.

that one is one of my favourite Transa productions. Really nice and very underated. And doesn't use the typical Transa sound :P

It's problably an grown up baby by now

in their later years they changed to a more dark micro tech-house type sound(what people misnamed as "neo trance"). i guess this was their attempt to adapt, sadly it sank them.

I wouldn't call it tech-house but more towards dark progressive house that was really quite bland and ordinary.
