just because your choices didnt win doesnt mean that the awards arent legit. there was a nomination period at torontonightclubawards.com for people to nominate their favourites. the top 4 nominees made the list and the one that had the most votes/nominations won for that particular category. the awards have been happening annually for the past few years so maybe you could try participating next year and not just complain about something that you know absolutely nothing about.

also, tnc presence is only known in the richmond/adelaide/king street area so it is more of a commercial club crowd.

I didn't say anything about the award being legit......as with any vote its a popularity contest.....and M&S are popular DJs.....but regardless....its still my opinion that the Toronto scene is a commercial scene and for the most part M&S play towards the commercial crowd.

Seriously. Their opening sets for Lawler, and their Zone sets (among others) show that ChemEnhanced really doesn't know what he's talking about.

I've heard their open sets for lawler....and the last time at TiL I almost left because I thought it was that bad.....and as i said....I've seen them at Zone and its the only place where I have enjoyed their sets.

The only place I've seen M&S where I didn't want to tear my ears off was at the zone.....they appeal to the commercial crowd that is Toronto.....Vinyl Junkies are definately my number 2.....MO will always be number 1 in my books....simply because of his diveristy and ability to read a crowd.

you are cranky because your favourite dj didnt win?

dood.. then stop bashing them every chance you get.

lol m&s best locals hands down
they can deliver for any opener and most of the times they are even better than the headliner.

best club: guv, yes

the rest of that poll is a joke.

how can only parts of the poll be a joke...because you don't agree with those results?

not trying to be rude just curious.

now come on...yeah I've bashed them but I've also said they are popular DJs and I've enjoyed some of their sets at the Zone....don't just focus on the negative.....I can do that enough for all of us.

Your crazy! When they opened for Lawler in September I personally have never heard them play better... And as far as zone goes, I have to agree with you there, they always destroy the place.

no i think Tuesdays at Century Room is the best weekly party

Tuesdays at Century - I agree with this.

Just wondering why there was no thread in advance of the poll reminding us to vote.

Should there be a category for local Producers as well?

Guverment has good talent there, and it can be a good venue most nights.

Thanks,
I have seen threads for DJ Mag 100, so I thought there would be a link for this.
