Make sure to burn them in before blasting tunes through them!

I'm not a DJ, but I use these cans (AKG 270S) in the studio. A little pricey, but probably the most transparent phones on the market. Dual parabolic drivers per side and crisp with a capital C once the drivers are broken in. Lightweight and comfortable, I've worn them for hours on end. They also have an automatic switch that shuts them off when not being worn.

If you really want to know what's going on in your mix, these are the shit.

The 200 series don't give out huge low-end, they're not supposed to. They are designed to show you exactly what's going on in your mix...and by mix I mean multiple instruments, EQ, Dynamics, etc etc - not beatmatching. They are studio cans, straight up. The 271 replaced the 270, but don't have dual drivers.

BTW, if you're asking your headphones to clean up the sound you're looking at the wrong part of your signal path.
