Andy, I have not done a GNMC in like a year. I've been suffering from hot buttered pancake withdrawal.

One of several stops on the agenda tonight. This one could get messy.
Nice one Darin, Max is the shit

Tony, check your PM's!

haha, that's all i have to say about last night. nice to see so many TAs, the milwaukee crew, bobby, garth, yuris, andy, niko, i know there's some i'm forgetting.
darin: i really liked your set. perseverance ftw
max: he pretty much destroyed spybar. i was really enjoying his set. it's a good thing they're remodeling because there wasn't much left after he got off the decks.
Probably the most fun night I've had out at Spy.
When Max dropped that classic diva house track out of nowhere (blanking on the name now) ... fire.
all i can say is that i am NEVER fucking driving anywhere in "widespread dense fog" ever again. my nerves were so shot by the time we got back to Wisconsin.
regardless, we had a stellar time. Tony and Max played great sets and it was awesome to hang out with everyone again right before the holidays (esp Garth who we only get to see a few times a year!)... highlight of the night was probably when Max dropped a remix of Popcorn - In Focus (or another track with same bassline and high melody). so nasty!
hope everyone else had fun and that everyone got home safe.
btw did Max play a version of Lustral - Everytime I Close My Eyes? Garth sent me a text with the lyrics but i couldn't text back since i was in the car.
All I know is that I need a tracklist for Max's set - absolutely unreal.
Darin did an outstanding job opening - was so happy to hear "Perseverance" and "Yokoh" out at a club. The only words I can even think of describe Max's set are sexual, funky, and techno. Make of that what you will, but he played some tunes I absolutely need in my bag.
Though I do have to sya,
at the reaction the Dubfire mix of "Spastik" got. Thank God Max only played about 3 minutes of it and was working the effects the whole time.
Great to see everyone, even greater to make it home alive through all the fog.

i was taken to soundbar after spybar where things got very blurry
sylvia, thank you for arranging the birthday thing at soundbar
i had a great time, time for round 2 tonight, then company party tomorrow followed by rager #3 - monday i was tricked into spending time with family, which will be followed by rager #4, then daytime rager #5 on xmas day followed by a drunken evening screening of AVP II
it was meant for you guys not to leave so early
and about that spastik track, he must've played it for like 15 minutes or sth like that... uncreal... an then the melody line from claude von stroke's famous track, when he was twerkaling that nasty thang... i'm pretty sure he recorded the set... lets beg him for it
as for the milw. crew, it got even better after u guys left
best ableton set i've ever heard.period.
That was one of the best live shows I've ever attended. It was right up there with Carl Cox at Moby Area Two tour and Sasha and Digweed at Allstate Arena for me. Max really covered the wide spectrum of EDM, starting off a little proggy, then going into straight up TECHNO, with some added pure Trance and House tracks. This was 10 billion times better than the last time I heard Max live, which was mostly dirty Electro House. I think we have all had our fair share of that
Oh, and thank you to all the out-of-towners that made it out! The place was rammed. Definitely made it one of my most memorable DJ nights in Chicago. I had a really hard time getting home in the dense fog too. It made me miss a crucial exit on the expressway, hehe.
P.S. Myra, that track you were asking about is Paul Keeley - 'Sunset Boulevard' on EQ Grey. It was #1 in the Balance charts and it's a Desyn Masiello favorite
