How do you know that the CIA is using that mony for said purposes? If I can remember correctly the USA is the only superpower and they have no nation on earth that can match it's military.
I surely do believe that the CIA is using this money as a war on it's own internal enemies than foreign enemies.

Nah CIA fights foreign enemies as well. Like when they overthrew the legitimate governments of Iran, and Guatemala.

Those were decades back. The CIA doesn't have to do that with drug money. The executive branch gives them the go ahead as well as the President's administration.

Obviously they do other things with the drug money, but I was just pointing out that they do fight external enemies by depressing the economy and political system of small growing countries.

Because the freedom of information act "leaked" operational documentation...

Can you elaborate on your last statement. I have a feeling you're right, though it's probably both to a degree of little actual control or coordination.

Ok, The CIA uses drug money that can't be traced to any of the departments so that the government can assasinate potential threats, inside the country, to the stability of the government. The money is used to pay off traind assassins and other officials who *have to look the other way.

*Who would have to look into the crime.*

Posted by Zild on Jan-04-2008 18:57:

I agree with that.

What are a few examples of threats inside the country though?

Really I don't know. The American people are so pacified that they wouldn't really need so much money to kill threats. I am thinking more along the lines that if the government has botched a top-secret experiment that has hurt unwilling participants or that the mess they created they would need the money to clean up the mess and hide it. Also any scientist that might cause trouble by exposing some of the truths the government works so hard to hide.

Money may help bring power over others...

But ah, where to find power in oneself in these trying times?

All the money in the world could not bring someone with such a gift under any superficial control.
