Danny didn't win an award, it was a contest, and he had his set featured on di.fm because of winning the contest.

He was also a resident for Ministry of Sound in Taipei.

He also used to run a night here, Friday nights @ Viva. I know he doesn't like me bringing that one up, lol, but still, he used to play gracious host while bringing in some of the best upcoming talent, like Ronski Speed, Menno de Jong, Phynn, Niklas Harding and others and on nights where he didn't have some upcoming talented DJ flown in, he'd pound the floors with his own mixing.

Fewer and fewer guys are getting booked, yes, but fewer and fewer TAs are going to events. Venues, crowds, prices, the acts being booked, the supporting cast, other agendas, other events, just not as young or into it as we used to be, the list goes on. There's like what, 10 regular TAers who even check these boards more than once a month? That would hardly offset the cost of bringing Schossow here, even from Edmonton.

And yes, I've probably been to the fewest events here out of all of you, but I still feel I'm allowed to post on TA.

As for CL and DT, I have a dinner to go to and then I have my daughter all weekend. I'll see if I can get a sitter so I can at least come see mr. DT.. am not a psy fan so I might have to pass on CL.

TA isn't the be all end all of the scene though.. it may be pretty dead here, but pretty much every show I go to is packed. Unfortunately I think a huge aspect is the rules of having to be done by 2-3am. That should be when the headline is starting, not being kicked off by the bouncers. Either way, I hope the promoters can step it up! cough james holden cough
