PVD has always worked with eventvibe/Tim Ortiz, at least as far as I can remember. Same with Tiesto & Ferry.

PVD did play On Broadway a couple of years ago (It was on a Monday night). I know he has played 4&B twice and once @ L5. Anybody who was at that L5 show can attest it was hot, loud and insane inside. But soooo much fun. I bet it will be a similar experience at Belo.

Although On Broadway is a much larger club square footage wise than Belo because of its modular design the actual area where you can comfortably experience a dj is pretty small.

Don't read to much into the eventvibe taking over Belo theory. Thursdays are always open at Belo and they have a lot of different shows booked (lots of hip hop style).

Plus isn't PVD on a mission to unofficially play every single club in the world? Seems like it

Enough with the nonstop club complaining. Just go out and enjoy the show if it's your thing. If my workload will allow I will be there too for sure.

Can I have some of what you're smoking? Seriously, kick down.

I'm actually more excited to see Victor and Cowboy Mike than I am to see PVD. A sick part of me misses those surly afterhours they used to throw at the Bacchus House... good times, good times. Fairly certain too that both those guys will out play PVD. I'm not a PVD hater either... a 1/4 of the time I've seen PVD he has been extraordinary.

darthseph - I don't understand... you get off of work at 630 and you don't have to be at class until 9 and you think that's a problem?? Are you off of work at 630am or pm, cuz if ur off at 630pm you've no excuse and sound like a big P word.

Spanglo - I said that before the semester started because I didn't know what the classes I had would be like at all. I was pretty much at 85% going at that stage, but I was worried moreso because I am not a morning person at all, and I knew I'd be driving people around afterwards to their cars/house.

As of right now... I'm going.

its a tough question cause its pvd but belo seems to have a dress code. maybe stay away from white ones to be safe

Posted by darthseph on Feb-07-2008 01:34:

I doubt they will be really strict on it... just use some common sense. If you can get in on Fridays usually... I would think you will get in on this Thursday.

Who's ready to party it up and help me celebrate my birthday?

You shouldn't have no problem getting rid of it at the door.

I would so love to go tonight but gotta be productive Friday and staying up all night drinking can't get me there.

Sucks for me but all have a blast tonight. Gonna be crowded loud and hot . . .

Great set Cowboy Mike! Paul van Dyk was damn good too...thankfully he didn't do too much vocal trance. I generally had a good time, but it was a bit too packed. I don't know what the crowd was on, but they were a bit on the agressive side. Let's hope that the next time a big DJ comes to sd he plays at On Broadway.

FIXED! Had an overall good night... got Paul to sign my copy of White Lies for my birthday... so that was good.

Scott Roberts - Very fun set... really got into it... as the crowd stood there like normal idiots.

Cowboy Mike - Fun time... unfortunately I spent most of the time outside talking with people because they wouldn't let us back in until 12am when Paul started. I also was trying to get my autograph. Security was being way rude about anything getting within like 2 feet of Paul when he got there... so missed opportunity there. I also noticed that a number of people kept chanting Paul while you were spinning. Typical "I'm seeing one of the best DJs" crowd that has no clue. They always pour out for big names.

Paul - Wow.... surprised the heck out of me. I have not heard him play a set that energetic and bass heavy. Really fun set and a good time. Stayed out of the crowd so I could just enjoy being there... too hot to dance or really care otherwise. Caught Tim and Paul when leaving and thanked Paul before asking to have my vinyl sleeve signed, which he was kind enough to do.

Victor - Sorry I had to bug out dude... but I had to because of classes in the morning and I wanted to try and make it there. Alas... that plan failed. lol...

Fun night though... except for the dumb people in the crowd that always pour out for big names and the whole overly-tight security thing going on. I don't know if that was Tim's or Belo's desire... but it seemed like they should have let him actually sign a few autographs to help get rid of the crowd that tried to storm him. Markus and Armin are awesome at doing that though.
