Just leaving my house now for Sherway!

MY office gave me a $100GC for Cadillac Fairview so I thought I might as well and see what sales Holt Renfrew and stuff has!

Posted by Special K on Dec-26-2007 15:13:

weve always known this to be true but ...

There are no real good sales anyhow....any of the items that are good sales will be gone within the first 10 minutes of the store being open.....I would rather just sit at home and enjoy a relaxing day to myself.

Pic as promised:

Those of you looking for athletic shoes, Pumas, clothing wear, some great deals can be had online, across the border at http://www.eastbay.com/

Posted by exstasie on Dec-26-2007 17:53:

Lacoste always has an awesome sale. 50% off of everything. Bought a few things from there but thats it.

HOLY CRAP though, Abercrombie & Hollisters was unreal! The lineups were at least 200 people + and probably like a 2 hour wait just to get into the store!

Definitely the craziest i've seen in a mall for boxing day.

Posted by FunkyCrew on Dec-26-2007 18:11:

the whole day gets a big fat MEH from me, we were also at Sherway

the craziest line-ups were in A&F and Aritzia, oh and Lacoste was bad too

had a laaaaaaame incounter in The Bay - we picked up a sweater for Mike from an Esprit section, it has a sign sitting on the table "50% on all men's wear", we get to the cashier - "ooops, someone must have placed the sign there, it's regularly priced"
if we had an extra hour, def would have asked for the manager and demanded the price with the discount!

my sister and i are about to hit vaughan mills . i haven't been boxing day shopping in years... pray for me. lol

I'm realaxing today.

Posted by smuncky on Dec-26-2007 21:45:

i got what i needed and at a good price imo.

3x25 pack of verbatim dvd-r's at the source for 4.99. i haven't seen a price that low on these dvd's yet.

and a 4gb sandisk cruzer usb for $30 at staples.

eaton's was crazy busy and i've never seen it so packed. these pics barely show how busy it was.

That's like 2 minutes from my house, and yes, that place is always full of nerds (I know, I go there ). I was at Yorkdale today, and the sales were almost non-existent. If anybody saw the line-up today for Coach, there were literally hundreds of people lining up while it was very likely the store's inventory didn't even have enough to support one item per person in line. Overall, probably my worst Boxing Day experience ever, and thankfully my last, seeing as how I was in Buffalo last week and the sales and selection are 10 times better.

lol i just got back from eatons centre... still busy. def spent way too much money... ahhh welllll. got some pretty good deals

Ok honestly... today was absolutely insane.

I got to work with my sister at 6:45 this morning (because Sears head office is insane and likes to open 2 or 3 hours before the rest of the mall and compete with the Bay)

Staff parking was almost full from the 150+ people who were waiting near ONE of the SIDE entrances to the store. This is SIX IN THE EFFIN MORNING.

THANK GOODNESS I work on the main floor in Apparel & Accessories and didn't have to deal with the stampede to major appliances and electronics.
We had 50 snowblowers for half price at $499 and they were all gone within the first hour. The plasma TVs on special were all gone by 8:00am.

Furthermore, my friend in security showed me footage of a man who had arrived at 4:20 THIS MORNING AND SAT IN FRONT OF THE STORE TIL WE OPENED AT 7:00.

*shakes head* ...madness... sales and rapid credit acquisition were amazing though cha-ching!

Ditto. Nice mid-week day off.

Posted by Ania_xox on Dec-27-2007 00:51:

I'm not telling lol

I work mostly in the mens wear department and I've had randoms visit me at work before and make outlandish requests like
"Can you please take my measurements to ensure the proper fitting for the new CK line of boxer briefs" LOL

Plus you don't want me to help you... I'm a manipulative bitch and I will make you buy all sorts of things that you don't need and then put them on your brand new Sears Card that you didn't even know you had

Kenneth Cole cuff links anyone? hahaha

Posted by jchung52 on Dec-27-2007 01:05:

i got a bunch of nice shirts, some tees from guess, some dress shirts from international, some briefs, and a nice pair of aldos that i keep staring at/... lol

lol yep, I totally would have stalked you out.

I work at Sears too, on the corporate side.

well i just got home about an hour ago from working at futureshop since 4am. when i arrived at the store, the line was about 200 people. by the time we opened at 6am it must have been at least 500. quite a bit more then previous years. not much i can say about the crazyness that hasn't been said already. i shouldn't really get into numbers, but i will say that our store hit 7 figures again this year.

nothing too crazy happened. by that i mean fist fights for products, or lawsuits from people getting pushed and shoved to the ground. i have seen both in my years. i asked the first group in line what time they got there, and they said 11:30pm on christmas day.

i'm glad it's all over. unfortunately we still have the rest of boxing week to deal with.
