Eh, everything about that place is just yuck to me. From the wacky interior design to the crap artist graffiti...

graffiti in the venue is pretty shitty. 222 Hyde is kinda like that, but as long as the lights are low it's all good with me.

Yep, 8th and spring. Orion was an old theater at one time. Although the actual entrance to it was from the stage side of the theater and it kinda looks like a warehouse from the outside (big green wall with a star on it). Every time I went to a party there I always sang to myself The Who's "teenage wasteland". Also I always swore I would never go back, but I did...over and over and over. Also I would always have a head full of black snot for a few days after an event there. I have some very fond memories from that place but even more mental/emotional scars from the untold atrocities that took place there.

It has improved.
My ex Ralph spiffed up the hole in the wall.
But when it was a Trance spot, it was a shithole.

yea, its an old opra house. So the acustics make for very nice sound if it is done properly. I played there last march and had a blast.

It was the spot that popped up right as the old fox theatre in pomona, and the masterdome in san bernadino were done. Had some of the funnest times ever back then, thank god i was 18 otherwise i would have relized what a dump i was hanging out in every weekend. By the end of it all it was just stomping grounds for little asian wanna be gangbangers trying to push their shit to fellow crackheads. Saw 2 guys get stabbed there, kind of a buzzkill and stop going after that

Lolz.
It was a little Asian Mafia drug den.

Orion was so scary... I dunno why I kept going.

Crash Mansion nightclub fight

Ok, this was a case of some of the media being inaccurate. The girl did not get "stabbed" on the dance floor. She was scratched by a tiny pen knife that someone must have passed through the fence outside. Crash Mansion is not loose. Any time I have been there, they have made us walk through metal detectors and frisked us. Obviously something slipped through somewhere else and you can bet they will be looking at that.

As far as the shooting is concerned, it's tragic, but you can't blame the club for it. They tried to keep people inside when they saw something erupting outside. And the parking lot where it happened isn't even their property. It's one of those cases where kids don't control their anger and get out of hand and an innocent bystander suffered as a result. The issue is kids with guns, not the club's security. It was an 18+ night so that's why younger girls were in there, which has nothing to do with the shooting. There are idiots of all ages.

I feel for that poor kid's family. It was a senseless death. It does not make me afraid to go to the club. I think after this the club has probably taken some measures to tighten security even further than they had. They seem pretty responsible to me. Maybe they should rethink having whatever music was on that night if that audience can't control themselves. Though it would be a shame to deprive the rest of the audience for a few idiots because I know it's not the whole audience that behaves like that.

The graffiti is in the dressing room. 90% of the graffiti in the room is from gogo dancers.

Yea the tragic event happened outside. It was a Hip Hop night. I don't think anyone is going to shoot after listening to progressive trance and house music.

I started looking into shootings and violence at other clubs. I think everyone would be surprised at some of the clubs that have regular issues with violence. I think more and more clubs are going to electronic to get away from the violence associated with Hip Hop.

ORION..

The place where they smooshed u in until you couldn't breathe and u couldn't walk more than 2 steps w/o someone yelling "X! X! K! K!" in your ear.

And the alley.. oh the alley.

Not just yelling, but I've seen them holding posters listing what drugs they had and for how much.

and the alleys...Soooo many un-mentionable acts in the alleys. But same can be said for the balcony...and the basement...and the parking lot...and the bathrooms...and the stairs...

pretty clean when we were in there last week setting up our Digital 3D projectors and during the Tommy Lee party. Either way murder is not what the EDM scene is about! Peace & Dance!
