I can't explain to you how much better Wetbar is than Opera. I'll try though.

1) There is seating. If you get tired, you can just walk up a slight ramp and chill in its hugeass lounge area.

2) There are TONS of bars. No need to wait in line for a drink. Just go get it.

3) SPACE! It is almost double that of Opera's!

4) Sound! The sound system in Opera reminds me of a playing music inside a trashcan. The sound system in WetBar reminds me of headphones but multiplied so much that if you stand the right place... your chest will hurt from the bass

5) It's WetBar. The main crowd is gay people who come to dance and enjoy music, not the uppity peepz at Opera who come to be the shizz.

6) Just for you, the booth is situated right next to the dancefloor. There are stairs to an area (that is not VIP!) where you can actually look through a window at the DJ. Often times during the early hours the booth is entirely open, so you can pop in, shake some hands, and continue with your business.

In conclusion...

WetBar WetBar WetBar. Do more shows at WetBar.

Thanks for the informative review of Wetbar. Sounds like a really good place. It's good to hear it attracts more people who enjoy the music rather than the stuck up crowd. Just wondering if there is a predominately gay crowd for an event like this or is there a good mix? It doesn't bother me at all that this is a gay club, but just wondering what I should expect. I'm really excited about this one. Just bought my ticket and I can't wait.

Posted by iammesol on Jan-23-2008 18:03:

I wouldn't say that the gay crowd is PREDOMINANT at a Liquified event, but I would say that is always there. I enjoy it actually. Everyone is having fun and dancing.

Posted by Xevious on Jan-24-2008 02:14:

The gay community really know how to throw down...

As long as everyone there is there to have fun and enjoy the music it's all good with me. If only there was a chance no druggies would be there. Every show I've been to, there's always the annoying couple, high no doubt, making out, dancing like fools, bumping into me. Oh, I also saw this was a 21+ event. That should be a good thing right?

Posted by iammesol on Jan-27-2008 21:45:

21+ usually means the crowd isn't going to be retarded. USUALLY

But Wetbar delivers. You'll love it.

10 DAYS TILL FERRY CORSTEN!

Posted by Liquified on Jan-29-2008 14:24:

Ferry Corsten ticket price will be going up at the end of the day so don't wait, get your discounted tickets now!

Posted by PVDfan07 on Feb-01-2008 04:57:

I ordered tickets online, and was wondering what the will call situation was at Wetbar? Do I just go to the door and they have a list? Also, does this place have a strict dress code?

Yes, and not really (same as most other clubs).

Posted by Liquified on Feb-01-2008 13:09:

There is no dress code at wetbar

Posted by PVDfan07 on Feb-02-2008 07:54:

Thanks for the help guys. I didn't think there'd be a dress code, but you never know. I'd hate to show up and not be let in.

Three days! Should we expect a three hour set from him? I haven't heard anything about an opening dj or anything, so I was wondering about that?

Posted by Liquified on Feb-05-2008 13:15:

opening dj will be Chris Coleman and Ferry will be playing a 3 hour set.

The 2nd tier of tickets is all but gone and the ticket price will go up at the end of the day so don't wait if you have not already got tickets.

Why aren't you going? You seem to have pretty good taste, how can you miss such an epic show?

I haven't heard of Chris Coleman, but if he's opening for Ferry he must be good. It's great to hear Ferry will be playing 3 hours. I was a little disappointed when Oakenfold's set turned out shorter than expected a couple months ago. This will be my first show of the year, and it should be one to beat.

If you think Ferry will be playing the full three hours, you're going to be disappointed. History has proved otherwise.

Thank you, but I'm saving up for WMC, which will be a week long slew of even more fantastic shows than this.

And Chris is a friend of mine. He's a REALLY great guy with some solid years of experience behind him. Hope you have a great time dude! I'll see you at Howells.

Man, if there was any chance I could possibly save up enough for WMC I would be there. What are you estimating it would cost you? Plus, I have to worry about getting off work and all that. I highly considered it, but I guess for now I will just stick to the local shows. I'm sure I will have a great time and hopefully will see you at Howells.

Oh, I apologize for asking so many questions, but are cameras allowed at Wetbar? I'd love to get some pictures while I'm there.

Dude ask away. I'm glad to help.

I'm hoping to have around $400-500 saved up (without hotel expenses) because food, drinks, entry and basically anything you can think of is priced higher during that week. Mind you I'm going Tuesday through Saturday. I'm sure if you just went down for a day or two it wouldn't be that bad.

And yeah... everything is allowed at wetbar, except more than one person in a stall.
