hold up, i haven't read through this post, not sure if i want to. i'm definitely not going to reply to any of the comments made within it
the only thing i'll say is that i had no intention for the review to ever make it to this board. i wrote it for my blog only.
shitty that it made it up here, but i don't think it's here because of any of the negative content in it. i'm pretty sure it was posted because of the the djs and the sets, not my own personal opinion on the scene. but really, i have no idea why it was posted.
i guess the idea behind the review is somewhat tainted now that its made its way outside of the proper forum, but if you want to reply please do on bringthebeats or in person.
yow-zaa...

Congratulations on a good year.
Politics do suck...its your ability to rise above them and still be successful that defines you.
The team at INK is a vital part of this city's nightlife and they throw quality events. They must be doing something right to be where they are. You too have created a niche in this market as indicated by your review.
So congratulations on a successful year, all the best to you in 2008.
The horror. The horror.

Overall, I thought 2007 was a groundbreaking year not only for the scene in Toronto and Southern Ontario as we know it, but for Canadian Dance Music in general.
Its been yeeeears since theres been such a variety of venues and options, pretty much 5 nights a week. On any given Friday or Saturday there are a TON of options...Footwork, Circa, TIL, Mod Club, College Street Bar, Toi Bar, Tattoo, The Social, Blak, Rockwood, and the list goes on an on. And even established weekly events on Wednesdays and Thursdays have been bringing people out during the work week.
And I think 2007 was a banner year for Canadian Dance Music on the International scene, and is only gaining momentum into 2008. MSTRKRFT, Deadmau5, Chromeo, A Trak, Flipside, Jelo, Robb G, Max Graham, Mark Mendes, Adam K...the list goes on and on.
Ive said it before and Ill say it again, but the possibilites for Toronto, and Canada, are endless once the egos and attitudes are checked at the door.
Heres to a great year for Toronto, and Canada as a whole, in the world of Dance Music.
