I agree. So young. Had the rest of his life ahead of him. It's a damn shame.

First time I remember hearing about him was in that movie 10 things I hate about you. Damn what a tragedy.

RIP.

Fuck I didn't know that either..(well the wall part I did he he)

I don't watch the news ever... it's too scary!

Posted by danlaxx1 on Jan-23-2008 00:30:

I agree. Ever since I started reading the Post every morning, I realized what a fucked up world it is that we live in. Some of the shit is so disturbing, you wouldn't believe that a person is able to do it.

I never heard of him until I saw the news an hour ago. Sad to see yet another entertainer to die of an apparent drug overdose

RIP

I actually saw Heath Ledger at a little cafe on Greenwich Avenue in August, I believe just after he and Michelle Williams were divorced. Real tragedy -- he was a greatly talented actor.

Well I was closer to Berlin than to here.
The Renfro craze never happened in Switzerland, they had the Bradlein Renfhard craze instead.

I'm not gonna lie, prior to his death, I never heard of him in my life. He still doesn't ring a bell.

Off topic: Remember a few months ago when I asked you if your user-name had anything to do with Miss Bliss from Saved By The Bell (the greatest show ever)? Here's a picture of the cast with the original Miss Bliss in front...

his death blows, but a financial market collapse is far more significant than "some actor's" death. his death means nothing to almost everyone on earth, whereas a financial market liquidity crunch means less credit, which stifles economic expansion, which in turn could result in higher unemployment, etc.....

you can't put a price on somebodies life.....actor or not

Posted by zachias31 on Jan-23-2008 05:53:

This one actually hit me. He's lovely, but he's also quite talented. Real sad that there won't be anything more from him.

he means that although it sucks well known actor died, it won't really affect our lives. However, the US economy on its way to going to hell in a hand basket will affect us directly in a not so nice way. I agree with him on both points.

agree....yes but this should have never even been brought up in this thread so no need to discuss the matter......

there are a billion things more important than his death but that's not what this thread is about now is it?

Posted by trunks1022 on Jan-23-2008 06:28:

saw him once in a bar across the street from le souk. he seemed sort of uncomfortable being there; it seemed ok to him to just observe the bar from a pillar. didn't seem to look for the attention. unfortunate loss.

"why so serious?!?"

Haven't posted in quite some time but in the regards to this, there really is a tragic lesson to be learned. I'm assuming most of the people on this board are b/t the ages of 20-30 like heath ledger (myself included) and sometimes people our age tend to take health for granted. As I've gotten older, I'm beginning to realize that my body isn't what it used to be and that the slightest thing whether it be alcohol, lack of sleep, not eating right, etc can really throw off the body's natural biorythms. And adding substance abuse to the mix is just going to lead to disaster. I believe the last time I posted was to warn the people on this board to protect their hearing when hitting the clubs or DJing. Folks, be even more careful about what you put into your bodies. Quit smoking (I recently quit, go me!), drink in moderation, and for christ's sake don't do drugs.

No matter how invincible you think you may be, one bad decision could end it all in the blink of an eye. What a tragic end to such a promising life.
