Fight was very short(Mir wins), but Brock looked tremendously strong. Crazy strong.

Well unsurprsingly Block Headner went down by submission. Mir didn't look great either. Meh.

Mir looked terrible, with a little more time and experience brock will be a powerhouse.

+1
Brock definitely has the raw skills and talent, but it takes time to develop the more technical side of the sport (as in how to avoid submissions coming from a BJJ black belt with years of experience). This definitely won't be Brock's last fight and I look forward to seeing him with some better submission avoidance skills. The man's a beast and if he does develop better submission skills he'll be a unstoppable. He's already got the striking and wrestling skills pretty well in control.

So, I'm assuming that this 'wrestling' you're all on about is not so much WWF style?
Is proper wrestling a big part of the sports program in American schools? It's non-existent over here.

Yes it is from HS all the way to the collegiate level.

I'm kind of surprised. America being the 'land of law-suits', I would have thought that a specific contact sport like wrestling would be highly 'risky' for schools to offer?

ahhh poor brock, the first 30 seconds were great. brock definately looked like he coulda laid a beat down on mir
Nogueira on the other hand. Fuckin A!

I think there's a different mentality when it comes to the people that participate in the sport. Also, serious injuries are fairly uncommon and they're assumed to be part of the sport. I can't think of a single lawsuit filed because of wrestling, or really any contact sport in general. I guess it's kind of the same way there aren't hundreds of lawsuits in the NHL every year for battery or every tackle or hard hit in the NFL doesn't end up with someone getting arrested.

FIX!
Mir didn't look bad at all, in fact I think it went exactly how he wanted it. Lesnar take him down, he survives some GnP, then sub him. Plus the knee bar wasn't even in that deep. Give brock about 2 more years of bjj and some thai boxing and he might be decent.
the Nog fight was badass, the ending came so quick, i even had tim winning the decision at that point. the dude is tough and skilled.
