the crab was good, but if the beef cheeks (the face cheeks NOT the butt cheeks) are still on the menu.....OH. MY. GOD. they were so f***ing tender, melted in your mouth. it was orgasmic. =)

Do it before PvD next week! I'm always down for nice restaurants and a good crowd.

been crazy busy with work and school, so i've been treating myself to these a lot lately (too much maybe) but these days, it's a rare opportunity to chill out for a solid 3 hours or so... (so totally rare for me to actually sit still like that anywhere else)

ahh the best is when you have an expense account! my buddy in sac used to have an unlimited one and we'd eat 3-course meals at all the best steakhouses for free whenever he had business down here. those were the days... god damn i just ate 2 hours ago and this thread is making me hungry again

ooh, beef cheeks still on menu.. might try that. but no more chicken liver pate and they had a nice one... oh well, there's always my farmer john's liverwurst

i would also recommend taking a look at aqua, boulevard, pescheria and zushi puzzle. bomb food, intimate settings.

These are good recommendations, but I think it might be a bit pricey for what he's looking for.

How about House in North Beach?. I love Luna Park in the Mission. It's a bit loud, but the food is great. I also love the tapas/sangria at Cha Cha Cha on Haight.
