I never was before either, even when I was studying in Europe. But lately I've been buying a few six-packs off it. I still prefer Carlsberg.

There are a few much much better Germen beers than that. Warsteiner just has massive marketing, like Fosters. Its ok, but not that good.

If you drink Hoegaarden put a half-slice of lemon in the bottom of the glass. Never seen it done before until I was in Belgium and Holland, really just puts the finishing touch on it. (Belgian/European bars here don't do it, just serve it as is)

Warsteiner isn't shit on a Fosters level (its perfectly drinkable), but it benefits greatly from marketing.

also, anything else by that brewery. i've tried probably a solid 8 different beers by them and have yet to be disappointed
in fact, i've been very very happy with them all

True, Augustiner rules! The great thing is, that Augustiner doesn't advertise. There's no need, since everybody knows it's one of the greatest beer you can get.

I guess Beck's and Warsteiner are rather popular outside of Germany, but that's not because of their quality. Both are not bad, but nothing special.
