heh. I know Mat Lock from back in the day... like 5 yrs ago when TranceAirWaves was still around. Good to see him getting into producing.

I dunno. I'm not sold on Daniel Kandi. Couple of decent tunes, but none so original and groundbreaking

Check out these tunes, doubt alot of you have heard them

Oliver Imseng - Ocean of Minds (Mindsoundscapes MSC Remix)
Eddie Sender-Genesis
Angel Ace-Finally (D-Mark Remix)

More along the lines of hands in the air, but def all quality tunes for my money.

Just heard last week :
Jochen Miller vs. Rank 1 - And Then... (High Contrast Recordings)
- starts humbly, but once it drop this is a MASSIVE prime-time tune for the club.

Only tune thats got me really excited so far...will sound great @ Armin Only

You just gotta do some real crate digging. And avoid tunes from ASOT and TATW because 95% will be junk. Even Corsten's Countdown is 50% junk, 45% meh and 5% good

Just found Cartel - Moments the other day. Released late 2007 but no one plugged it. A solid Askew and O'Callaghan release

Yohan, I know this isn't exactly the style you've been rhyming off in your replies so far, but this track I'm about to point out is such an effective trancer that I simply couldn't pass it up!

Supuer - Minerva (Elevation Remix)

Man, I can't wait till the spring and summer months come around, this song will define that time!

Posted by alefort on Feb-14-2008 16:14:

Just came across an awesome tech trancer, definitely not minimal in any sense of the term:

Andy Farley & James Lawson - Mezza9 (Ali Wilson & Matt Smallwood Remix)

Posted by Mortyman on Feb-14-2008 16:53:

Lens - Beyond the Shadows (Moonbeam Remix)
Vast Vision pres Mungo - Summer Blush (Aly & Fila Remix)
Jan Johnston Meets Jussi Soro - Merge (Genix Remix)
Lemon & Einar K - Anticipation
Jonas Steur & Leon Boiler - The Night Is Young
Ernesto vs Bastian - Thrill
Roland Klinkenberg & DJ Remy - Jimmy the Saint
Robert Nickson - Narc (Simon & Shaker Remix)

Mmany more, but those stick out to me

Yea, I find it really hard to find consistently good artists in trance.

The most groundbreaking tune I can think of in the past months is Ernesto vs. Bastian - Thrill

1. welcome to summer of 07

2. orig of perspective > stupid mash up. you know the reason why people like the mash up better is that it's got the stupid vocals in the middle. hence another reason why a lot of trance is junk. stupid useless vocals in tunes

3. any prog tune that gets caned by Carl Cox must be good, right?

I'm curious. What was the last non vocal trance tune Armin did?

Control Freak?

if you mean good as in generic piece of junk, then yeah

on the other hand, solid sessions - janeiro (armin remix) is released on beatport. now this is proper vocal trance
