I've seen best friends end a relationship that has spanned years just because one friend didn't add them as their "number one or two" on their Myspace friend list. No joke, it's fucking disgusting.

I shit you not. It happened my senior year of high school. I'd gone to school with these girls for almost nine or ten years and they were damn-near inseparable. They literally stopped talking to each other because of that.

That was pretty much the moment I realized I hated it.

I use Facebook because it's not as bastardized (well, that's changing with all of the "apps") as Myspace. I have a Myspace that a girl I dated in the summer convinced me to get (*cracks whip*), but I only ever log into it when I get some notice emailed to me and that's about once a month.

That said, I don't hold any stake in what happens on either of those pages. Hell, my girlfriend has had me in "Facebook friend approval limbo" for about two weeks and I couldn't care less.
