man that's fucked up.
see now i'm confused....should i never buy from best buy? or should i buy something...break it...and then have their customer service lose it so i can get $54mil?

I fucking hate Best Buy, horrible store. If you want to buy a warranty, buy a SquareTrade one instead.

and why would you ever search google to get the power switch fixed? you send that shit in! also the posted article doesnt mention the fact that the bitch was offered $2100 and a $500 gift card when she went to the local authorities.

Obviously she was mistaken, but I'm willing to bet that they make A LOT of money off their extended warranty preying on people that don't know better. The only time I've ever gotten the extended warranty was for a digi cam and a TV. Which was good, the cat knocked the tv on the floor about a month into owning it and we got another one for free |
overall, yes, they're pretty profitable, but they lose money on the ones for a lot of products. some are a lot more valuable than others, too. you can get a 4-year one on a $2000 receiver for $150. you can also spend $40 on a 2-year one for a $90 dvd burner.
anyway, for the billionth time, tort reform should be at the forefront of political debate, but alas. lawsuits like this are beyond trivial--they're flat-out detrimental to the economy. What a stupid cvnt. They should replace the laptop. If they want to give her something more, good for them. That's it.

it really doesn't, depending on the computer you buy/from whom. but if you're buying from best buy it is really a waste of money. the geek squad knows as much about computers as the random kid you ask in the halls of your high school. they're really, THAT qualified.

what i'd like to know is whether the laptop hit post-production or not.
