See, and this is exactly why I don't believe people who are all like omg life is so good because school is easy and I don't have anything to do with myself lolol. What could be better than Vicodin and a bath? Vicodin, a bath, a beer and maybe some Sasha set, that's what. What achievements. What hollow, socially-supported enrichment programs you have to be subjugate to in order to derive some pleasure out of to not see the happiness in life's unlife enjoyments.

This may sound cold, but I don't feel too bad for those people. All I know, is I'm sure to have it bad in the future, and I don't expect anyone to feel 'bad' for me when it happens. No matter how severe the case may be (okay, if my entire family dies in a horrible car wreck/plane crash or something of that nature, I'll be sure to post in the COR with a ).

I think I've finally figured out what you get someone like Halcyon for his birthday (besides a vaseline coat hanger) -- a giant poster board with "Why" written on it followed by a period. Noble. Nobl.

Yeah, I'm sure nobody buys me birthday gifts because I'm just so durned complex. That's probably it.

I am sure that not knowing when my birthday is makes it difficult as well.

You are a student, you havent seen life yet.

Guys, pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance.

I'm rather cynical, which makes me a realist with my feet firmly on the ground, whereas I see lots of people who insist on constantly "trying to find happiness" and tend to keep disappointing themselves, even if their life is going great. If they get knocked down slightly, it hurts them badly, whereas the cynic will say "fuck it" and keep going.

I think cynics and negative people are inherently "happier" despite outward appearances. Discuss.

That's completely bollocks and based on sweeping generalizations. For starters, I'm by nature both a cynic and a guy who constantly tries to find happiness.

What I mean is that people are far more complex than that, you can't just take that sort of conclusions. Some people genuinely manage to constantly find happiness out of nothing, even when something very bad hits them. Others base their happiness on the momentum and will have huge ups and downs. Some people might find cynic-ness (is that a word?) to help them "keep them real", others find it to drag them down.
