Dancing Dude Me too!!!!

I'm gonna be at UBC from August as well, I'm doing a years exchange from Manchester (England), i've just got my housing and visa through, i'm in the Walter-Gage Tower (whatever that is) so try and get in there man and we'll get some sweet trance parties started!!!

I'm (hopefully) gonna bring some vinyl over with me as well so we'll have to hook up and find a local with some decks for us to befriend!!! What do you reckon, eh?

I'm getting there on the 23rd of August so i'm well up for this Summerlove party if it's after then. Do you know the details?

As were both gonna be international students i'm sure we'll see eachother at the early get togethers!!!

I'm well looking forward to the year, i was worried that i was gonna be starved of my trance and vancouver was gonna be all hip-hop/r'n'b, but thn my mate found this site and it looks there are a fair few trance parties in Vancouver (though room for a few more!!!).

It's taken me ages to get this reply posted as i can only use shared computers while I'm at uni but I'm going home in a couple of weeks so i'll post some more messages then, but it's good to know there'll be another TA at UBC next year!!!

Ahhh, lucky person! I'm still unsure of where I'm staying
At the moment I'm hoping for Thunderbird Residence, since it's pretty close to the Computer Science building. I've also applied to the Gage Towers and one or two other places. I'm not too fussy about where I'm staying, just want somewhere on campus. Still happily battling away with the local Canadian embassy about my Visa. They seem to want reports from a surgeon who operated on my eye (rugby injury) in 1996 to know that there were no ill complications from the op. Sigh... at this rate I'll get my visa about a week or two before I'm due to leave.

Are you going to the International Students Orientation things? Not too sure what they'll be doing, but everyone I've chatted to at UBC says I should go.

No problem. We'll have to organise to meet on campus sometime.

I almost did apply to Univ. of Toronto, but they didn't do any Bio-Informatics research in their Computer Science Dept. So didn't apply.

hehe, lol. I'm definitely going to try and come through to Toronto as soon as I can afford to do it. Perhaps if Starf0x goes through again, I'll try and organise the same time.
