I think you lose all credibility when you can't even spell the respected DJ's name

I can but he didnt deserve it last night. you can infer from the context who i was speaking abt. But its not the point,the point is that word is in russian and its funny and sounds similar to zabiella, ok? And i find it funny u preaching abt credibility, but i dont want to get into useless arguments so i wont go into detail.

Deadmau5 - Clockwork

Deadmau5 was good, although the volume didn't seem that loud when he was on though. As for Zabiela, it's probably just me not enjoying that type of music but I thought his set was pretty bad. His energy was good but the songs bored me the whole night.

TWINS!! lol

the vibe in that room was burning up last night. If you have been going to guv at all regularly over the last few months, you will know that this sort of "hands in the air" stuff is rare nowdays. I"m not sure whether to put it down to lack of musical education / appreciation, certain substances or just bad crowd.

Last nights crowd recognized good music when it was being played. Mau5 didn't deliver the ass kicking i expected but maybe i expected too much. Its been known to happen. His set was over all a decent and he displays solid energy behind the decks always interacting with the crowd. He must've been doing something right cuz this was one VOCAL crowd.

As for JZ, just phenomenal. I have never heard him play so hard in my life and it was a pleasant surprise. It was gut wrenching, ass kicking, spacey stuff that just kept you beggin for more. Sometimes hard to dance too but a damn treat to listen to. And the fun he was having???? SICK - James you rule my friend!!!!

Again the crowd was totally into it. I did not stay tiill the end but i'm sure he got a good ovation when he was done.

its too bad u diddnt ejnoy urself....its unfair to say such a thing about a dj....the dream part..i think a bit disrespectful....but everyone has their own opinion...but the ratio to hands in the air, to your being by your side, sounds like its an over-ruling one.....so maybe less harsh words next time

WoW! What Fucking night!

Missed the first bit of Deadmau5 but the last bit I got was pretty decent stuff and exactly what I'd expect for Mau5.

But ZABIEEEEEELLAAA!!! WTF

Such great fucking tunes! It was unreal. I was dead tired but fuck I love this guy!

We definitely need some One+One action!

All of us ended up superdissapointed.

you win some, you lose some......
I chose to see Burridge....
last night I won....

was a great show. lot of energy.

deadmau highlights
* daft punk - deeper, faster, stronger (deadmau5 remix)
* jaded
* faxing berlin

for each of the above songs, the crowd went bananas

imo, zabiela >>> deadmau5. the first hour of his set was on point, with him dropping a few tunes from his recent EM and his 2k7 dec promo.

but all in all it was a great night, and also nice seeing some of the TAs around... even some trance heads!!!

9/10

Posted by deadmau5 on Feb-24-2008 18:45:

i had alot of fun... fuckin great time! yeah, had to bring the family unit for sure.... probably the last chance theyll get to see me around for a lil while, so it was good to hang with friends n family for the night... i was kinda bummin 1/2 way thruough my set because my Monome 256 magically stopped working, i blame monomeserial + OSC, but i had a decent workaround to it so was still able to shift through sequences with the mouse... thank god. lol.

was really good to have the TO support as well as be on the bill as someone as profilic as JZ, so./.. all in all, very pleased with all of your support aand had alot of fun, n thats what its all about

now to recover from hangover of epic proportions.

(just for the sake of comparing the two of them)

To be fair, Zabiela has been dj'ing for a MUCH longer time, probably 10+ years over Deadmau5 (educated guess). He's also considered one of the best technical DJ's on the planet. lol The fact that JZ has also played Guvvy a handful of times already also makes it very likely that he'd be able to rock main room exponentially easier...

By the sounds of it, it was a 50/50 draw on the crowd. The quality of production/hype about deadmau5 + JZ's skills = BUSY main room. Sounds like I missed a great night.
