I just installed AVG pro ver.8 and its alot nicer than the previous versions for sure. I did a scan and it found 67 potential problems including some low risk trojans that ad-aware, spybot, highjackthis, and SUPERantispyware did not find! Give version 8 a try guys if u haven't...its gotten alot better.

Yes, you do need it.
There are more and more viruses develeped for Macs nowadays because of growth of it's popularity.

i use kapersky 7.0 and its worked great for me, i hear its one of the best, its won alot of awards for the best pc anti virus software.

Me too, works great and uses very little resources.
Also, firefox + ******** is a good idea.
