Let me put it to you this way then: You have been asked rather politely on several occasions if you wanted to stream a set to please post in the threads designated for such things (just like when people want something ID'd, want to promote their music, etc.).

It seems, however, that you either:

A. Have incredibly limited memory, so much so that it's shocking you even remember your name or how to speak.

or

B. Decide to go out of your way to be a dick and ignore said polite requests.

Either way, it's no different than any other time people are asked to post things in the appropriate sections.

Edit: And it's completely fine with me if people want to go ahead and call this unwarranted, etc. - the people who are able to stream their sets when they want to for nothing seem to appreciate the effort, so I couldn't really care less what anyone else thinks.

LOL, way to be a prick. I posted in this one, are you happy now?

Edit: That line about my "incredibly limited memory" was pretty intelligent as well, good one.

Yes, such a prickish thing for me to do, this - how ever will I live with myself?

Give me a fucking break.

You're the one that attacked me because I didn't know there was a new liveset promotion thread, I went to my profile and the old one was closed, so I figured you guys had done away with it. My bad.

You really need to get some thicker skin if you think that asking why you can't seem to read what's right in front of you instead of making baseless assumptions constitutes an "attack."

You're right, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I just wanted to play some tunes for the c0r because I was bored. I don't want to hijack your thread, so I'm going to leave it at that. Have a good one?

Don't make me break out the plurlap sack and make you two cuddlepuddle!

And for my part I'll apologize for raining on your groceries to this point, it certainly escalated to a point that was uncalled for.

I'm at the very least glad to see something in c0r that could have gone further down the rabbit hole of "You're a dickheaded cockstain" resolve like this.

And I know the bulk of this thread really doesn't do anything for you because you've got your own server and everything going on, I guess myself and a few of the other folks here are just trying to create something for the TA DJ's that's really just the community giving back to itself, whether it be through the music or otherwise.

Just trying to start at least one kind of "good" TA tradition

One that (believe it or not) really actually started with Nou.

It's all good, it's not like im famous or something. I just have access to a good server. But yeah, sorry for calling you a prick.

Edit: Also I could see if I get people access to it, but its not mine, so I'd have to check. It supports 100 listeners I believe.

You take the good, you take the bad,
you take them both and there you have
The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life.

I think there should be a TA reality show.

Posted by RJT on Mar-10-2008 04:38:

Only if it was set in a Mad Max style "Thunder Dome" and involved battles to the death with the only available weapons being ingredients for farth4x i.e. refried beans and zippo lighters for all.

Merry Christmas, Steve.

Edit: And I tried for far longer than I should have to find "farth4x.gif", but to no avail.

Posted by idoru on Mar-10-2008 06:39:

Rob, you know all too well that I would be more than willing to be someone people could feel free to contact. You should already have my MSN, so go ahead and post my info whenever you update it.

Oh, and I'll be willing to write a short OS X tutorial (and possibly a Linux one, though I doubt there'll ever be a demand for it) if you're still looking for one.

Posted by Sushipunk on Mar-10-2008 06:57:

If you guys want, I'm happy to be contactable for the server info (though I don't actually have it already). I don't know if it would do a lot of good, since due to the rather large difference in time-zones, I'm online when a lot of folks aren't. That could be a good thing too though, I guess. Late night sessions?

PM me with the info/details if you like.

Posted by RJT on Mar-10-2008 17:09:

Alright - well I've got a short list of people willing to be contacts, those of you who've posted here or PM'd me should expect a PM this evening, and hopefully I'll have all the information for the servers by then as well.

Also, if anyone see anything in the first post that should be changed/added/etc., let me know - I'm kind of considering this a "living document" of sorts, so we can address any issues people have as they come up.

Licky lick, I tried to get the other one stickied for like 2 years. I never could find it. I never could remember the "b" word so how could I search?

Thanks for playing, Mart, Nik, and Ian. I enjoyed listening. For once, I heard each of your sets in their entirety con mucho gusto!

Posted by RJT on Mar-11-2008 01:34:

Well, getting the second server squared away is taking a bit longer than I had hoped - Fast-Serv is really, really slow to return emails.

For now, if anyone wants to kick about a bit who doesn't have the info, feel free to contact myself, idoru, or montana for now and hopefully it won't take more than another day or so to have everything organized.
