i'm pretty sure that both bug and adultnapper will be at demf

crowd was definitely the typical minimal, european crowd - lots of minimal scarves. and the sound system needs a tuning - it wasn't as clear as i've heard it before - there were some vibrations

adultnapper's opening set was on point - really enjoyed his set - nice dark, minimal tracks

bug's set wasn't his best - too housey for my tastes and not as much techno, but definitely showed what he can do and got the dancefloor moving nicely

somehow lost ghb and ended up going home around 3:30 am or so...good to see mel and bf (who looked exactly how i looked at dfuse and KT's set at sully - bored) and nice to meet massivenyc and see vtec

best line of the night - i tell mel that it seems darker than usual in cielo to which she replies "maybe the lightening guy is new?"

I said maybe they'll wait for the headliner [that's how club in miami usually are.. no one pulls the horn/siren/ or the cryos's until its the headliner that's on] or maybe the lighting guys was new!

It was that bright because he played a housey set. I thought Adultnapper's set (at least the last hour) warranted the darker lighting. Personally, I kind of liked it and thought it fit well.

Is MADE guy Mike Bindra?

Oh, and horns and sirens are so annoying (Deadmau5 used the horn at Pacha during his opening, though)...

Horns and sirens are mostly for trance and the indoor section of Space in Miami.

The patio wouldn't dare.

They just have cryos that fill up the patio entirely.

+1 on Adultnapper. Has anyone seen him before? Curious to see if he's always on point or if we just saw him on a good day.

I've seen him a few times. He lives in NYC and plays here quite often. He's usually good but was playing exceptionally well last night.

I was wondering the same thing. I think he is booked at some event in MD in Aug...Steven was telling me about it but I forgot the details.

And contrary to what some people might say about Lawler, he has become one of my favorite and most consistent DJ's the past couple of years. I saw him in Mexico earlier this year and he was ridiculous. Plus the last couple of times he has been to NY (boat party/Rebel/Crobar) have been awesome parties. Def check him out next time he is in town. There was a period when Lawler was pretty inconsistent a few years ago....after he stopped spinning tribal. I remember seeing him a few times at Spirit and he never did it for me......not the case anymore. The last handful of times I've seen him have been amazing.
