Well, I've checked out the thumbnails for the music video's, but I don't think this one's mentioned:

fischerspooner--Emerge

I believe this is quite impressive visually, so I decided to show you it here.

When you mentioned Fischerknifeyspooner all i could think of was the album cover for #1, eeeww.

lol by the looks of the things in the video and the album cover, fischerspooner has quite the strange, yet sickening mind.

There was another one earlier. They used the 1998 performance they did in the huge Roskilde-tent. Pinkpop (until this year) always has been the earliest of the big festivals in Europe and this was from May 30th - June 1st.
At September 12th 1998 they entered the Dutch TOP40 and reached the 1st place.
Insomnia indeed was a hit, but not like God Is A DJ was. To me then Salva Mea was the first. Probably they made another video after it turned out to be a huge success.

Insomnia was the band's first significant UK chart success, peaking at #3. Salva Mea was released prior to Insomnia, but only enjoyed significant chart success (#10 peak) as a re-release after Insomnia had charted. God Is A DJ peaked at #6 in the UK charts in 1999, although the album Sunday 8pm did subsequently achieve a higher chart position than Reverence, the album from which Insomnia and Salva Mea were taken.

In short, Faithless were a huge singles success from Insomnia onwards, but their album success was more slow-burning and gradual.

I know, I bought Salva Mea when it just was released. Since they are British that probably is why they had some earlier success in their home country. Although I read they Salva Mea has been sold more then 1 million times worldwide. Not bad for just a club scene hit. In Holland God Is A DJ reached the 1st place, maybe also due to Pinkpop, because it was a great performance.
I always bought the singles, because of the remixes. I didn't like their albums very much.
Although I don't like live versions very much, Pinkpop 2002 was special to me since they were the festival stopper and about everybody was jumping.
