I'm not scared at all...I WANT to see a ghost/spirit. I'm always down for exploring haunted/abondonned places and nothing has come out of it. Like, those shows on TV where people walk around haunted castles n shit..I WANNA DO THAT..it would be sooo much fun.

If your awaking with a heightened level of arousal and fear had protected you from some real/tangable potential harm then it would be justified by the presence of said potential harm. I was just trying to assertain whether this was a response to stimuli.

i know what you mean matty. when i was little my grandma used to tell me to say "i affirm that the white light of chirst surrounds me and nothing but good shall touch me". my grandma is sensitive to stuff like this as well and has some amazing stories about her experiences.

my first time seeing ghosts was at my friends turn of the century farm house. we used to walk by her study and sometimes see an old man hunched over in one of the leather chairs like he was taking a nap. when we'd walk past her parents room, we'd see an old woman in a lace dress either sitting on the bed or looking out the window, and she'd just turn to face us then smile and disappear. we just got used to seeing them and i was never afraid. pretty cool to have experienced that though.

my stimuli is tingling..

in all honesty maybe its just me....but ever walk by a stranger, who at a visual seems normal, harmless, kind etc..but as you cross almost shoulder to shoulder you get a chill that runs through you??I have.

Thats similar to what happens to me at that time, I am open to scientific and kinetic explanations caused by theories but when it comes to this and this of course is my opinion...its just not enough.

Try to find the ghost of Jesus

Fergus and Cambridge are very haunted apparently. Seems to be alot of Irish settlements or places in Ireland haunted.


Both have deep irish/scot roots...

My parents claim to have seen a ghost when they were first married.

They were both police officers and in England in the 60's the local copper lived in the police house. Essentially, there was one constable per town, and they lived in the police station.

The police house at the time was above an old jail, where people were often hanged in it's 100 year or so history. They were in bed, ready to nod off and the room instantly went cold. Sitting up, they both saw a figure, presumably a former inmate, appear at the foot of the bed on my Mom's side, he then walked slowly around the foot of the bed and vanished beside my Dad. The whole thing lasted a few seconds, but the room warmed up as quickly as it went cold and they never saw anything like that again.

I would normally just chalk this up to one of those stories you tell your kids, but I ended up having dinner with a family friend who was in TO, and was a fellow cop of thiers...somehow this just came up in converstation and Jim (the fam friend) told the story to me pretty much exactly as my 'rents had, except he heard it 40 years ago when they were all buddies. Wierd shit.

I've always had a sense for this even upon first meeting people, I usually figure the basis of who they are. No I don't know their entire life, but I've had a sense I've been told since very young about people. I or my parents have been told usually by older people from the Mediterranean that I have an "old soul" or "ancient eyes".

One of my superstitions if i have trouble answering a questions to to feel for my necklace and feel for my "corno" aka horn aka "raccoon dick"(neighborhood bullies.

If it sits a certain way can mean Negative or No (left). positive or Yes (right). I also believe when it it found further up my neck towards or on my shoulder someone is thinking about me.

Those photos that Mkpacha posted really are freaky. And i like the descriptions for each one.

according to the A&E show Paranormal State, 3am is what they call "dead time". 3am is when the presence of ghosts is the strongest. So it's kinda freaky you wake up frightened at that exact time. Maybe you attract ghosts?!

I really don't know about ghosts, but like i mentioned I've always had a knack to see people for who they are and situations sometimes before thy happen. By "see" I mean gut feelings or sometimes physical feelings, severe chill, freezing in mid step and this all comes out of nowhere.

My last name in Sicilian actually translates to "appearing priest" or "quick priest". So maybe I have a tie to some crusader or holy war or something from ages ago...another weird point to that is that where my family is from (Messina) was the point where all the crusaders met, bonded and trained during the crusades.
