I don't even know what kind of music was playing at Guv during that time but it sounded like a scratchy broken record! Aside from IM and SVD I also have never heard such crap ever! SVD was AWESOME!

And what's up with the "tent" in KH? It just blocked out the air circulation and was way too hot in there!

anyways sum nice "commercial party" tunes were spun by Team Canada(alot of scratching and shitty mixin),and i can see y DJ AM is popular with celebs cause he'll play anything including FUNKY TOWN and he played a few bangers....
I SWEAR IT WAS LIKE DAFT PUNK nyte in the main room.....i luved it....MSTRKRFT was sik from wat i seen....BoysNoize spun sum electro/techno tunes that had me goin for a bit....
wasnt big on Infected Mushroom.....they played a few bangers....
Blank and Jones left me hanging 3/4 times in a row....i cant deal when a dj builds and doesnt drop until after 20secs of silence.....
i had a great nyte despite being all tired for the first half of the nyte.....
Guv/KH was decorated nicely....the KH stage was kind of like a pyramid design.....too bad they didnt have the led lights all over it like the daft....the club itself was empty......

Just out of curiosity, how long did SVD stay on? I checked the webcast for a few minutes before work at 7:30 this morning, and it was still going. Didn't know if it was just a rebroadcast or still going strong

So i decided to go to the Guvernment last minute, my initial plan was to go to Blak for Samuel L session, but my friends pulled me away from that, they really wanted to see MSTRKRFT, Boys Noize and Infected mushroom instead.
I checked out DJ AM for the first time, he was more like DJ ADD he was playing mashups of top forty tracks you hear in a college bar down texas lol, it was just fun .
MSTRKRFT came on and they were just ok, it was nothing interesting either even after hearing all the hype behind them, i went to see my friend loose his shit over Infected Mushroom instead, i have no comment on them since they are not my choice of music.

I came back to the mainroom to check out Boys Noize, i was skeptical at first as electro is not usually my thing unless its done right, boy did he do it right, the first half hour was ok but after that he was great, i mean i dont know, he was just on the ball with the music he was mixing, the only way to describe it was electro into techno, he made every electro track he played sound like techno. he played his remix of justice - phantom II but he didnt play the whole track he just took the guitar riff and looped it and made it play over and over again till he brought in the next track, he was brilliant behind the decks, he even teased with daft punk's steam machine and other big electro tracks but he maintained that techno vibe to his whole set, he rocked it out good. there are a few djs that i lost my shit over unsuspectingly and he is definitely one of them.

Well he came on at 4:00am and played until 7:30 am I believe...but then he came back on for 1 more track

honestly hearing the bongo during the last 10 minutes of Sanders set was bad enough but the thing kept going on after he was done like are we starting our own bongo party now! The guy is good I give him that but come on there's a time and place for everything!!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this is annoying during certain Dj sets!!!

That was an amazing show. Never seen Sander before, my world was throughly rocked. Any video or track IDs from SVDs set would be deeply appreciated.

I left at 5am so guess I missed it anyway.

svd was worth the admission price alone

to experience that sort of sound coming out of those speakers with your close friends was a privilage

he totally turned the KH into a dark mind-circus of slamming fat-bassline tech-trance and in your face technooooooooo

that time slot suited him soooo perfectly, best set i've heard him play (well tied with guv 10 year ) in the 5 times I've seen him in the past year.

totally in awe still and completely boggled by how good this unexpected night turned out!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for a great great night, you all made it so much better to be there!

Blank & Jones: Probably the worst set I've seen from them, I'm used to seeing them play older trance anthems and what not, but yesterday it was totally different, there were a few good tracks dropped though.

Infected Mushrooms: I seen them before at Guv, it's the same thing last time and last night, bunch of pushy people screaming and jumping, it seemed fun for everyone who was into it they were going crazy and everything, but from 3-4 AM my friends and I were sitting by the bathrooms eagerly waiting for Sander Van Doorn.

5/10 - not my type of music at all, but whoever likes them seemed to enjoyed it.



Sander Van Doorn: Thank god he came on early, I was by the stage at around 4 then I notice he just started I ran to my friends by the washrooms and told them SvD just got on, and everyone quicky ran towards the dance floor. I also messaged Kris cause I didn't see him around lol ("It's almost 4:20" - Kris) SvD's mixing is just phenomenal! He was definately on his 'A' game, way better than his set in Montreal for New Years.

Great partying with everyone, what an amazing night! It was nice to finally meet Swamper and a few other TAs.

Sketch story of the night: A guy comes up to me and Oz and grabs our heads and smashes them together and he's like "You guys are great friends, don't be afraid to show it! you guys should kiss!" BAM!! our heads hit, then the guy grabs my head and headbutts me! What an idiot.

Did anyone end up going to the zone after this?
