i know that. but the fact that how sweet is mostly kandi kids i believe has some effect on the quality of his music.
also you think he's actually gonna give a shit about what he plays to a crowd of cracked out 13 year olds who really couldn't care less about the music just that they're listening to atb because atb is famous? i've seen a lot of dj's both at massive and clubs, and they usually play far better at the clubs.

Next time he was in LA was How Sweet last year, where most people were there for him.

Then ATB was at Vanguard late last year and it was one of the most packed/crazy nights at Vanguard.

As with this year too, when ATB came on, the Drum n Bass andoutside areas emptied out as everyone flooded the main room for ATB.
It was not the avb event, it might of been a 2 to 3 years ago, it was an atb cd release party.

i met him after his set at the white party, and he was a cocky ass hole to a few dozen people that had stayed after to talk or have him sign something. His music wasnt that great either.

he'll sing his tracks into the mic too, which is pretty cool

This summer 9PM will be 10 years old. It's funny how time flies but this song brings so many good memories for me

I have to agree with you Rich, The few times I have seen ATB he rocked the crowd and his track selection was great, He knew how to read the crowd and feed the energy to them, also him singing his lyrics is fucking great...

Believe in me...

Video thanks to Gilbert

WIsh i saw ATB when he played melodic and upbeat trance. I saw him 2 months ago and NEVER AGAIN! SO bad. No one got into it. Even the E-tards were pissed haha. Either he calls it quits or does a complete change like Oakie recently, and starts playing the way he was known for.

ATB might have been ebtter than AvB when they played in LA...

But then AvB came up to SF and had the party of the year (and lots of people up from LA)...wheeeeeeeee. What a night!

Seems like the only person who has issues with AvB in SF always is Rizo. Too bad for him lol.

lol no im not the only one, i do bring it up more than others though... maybe a bit too much seriously i had the chance to go the next day in SF, I was back in the area, rested and friend even offered me a ride but AvB was just so disappointing that I rather save my hearing. Did give him countless chances since then but his still meh -- i only liked 3-4 tracks the 2nd to last time he played and left an hour into his set last time. Shit it was more entertaining outside with you (Dave) hahaha His upcoming Ruby Skye gig will probably be an extended set (maybe 5+ hours?) but I'm debating about it esp since its at Ruby on a Saturday

do i need to be on drugs to enjoy him

I imagine his Ruby set will be the usual 4+ hours (as he typically plays midnight-close)...though who knows, now sure the time slot Remy is getting.

Considering the whoe lineup for the weekend, I hope Ruby/Spundae bust out the laser....the laser they use when they use it...

im with rizo on this. I saw Avb at ruby last summer and I was extremely disappointed. I think the main reason is that i really hate ruby skye! Im sure my opinion would change if he played at 1015

Posted by indamixx99 on Mar-26-2008 17:52:

BTW, did ATB drop 9PM Till I come?

The first 2 hours of his set was a roller coaster ride. I didn't enjoy it. His set in 06 was the best!

I missed seeing ATB play in DC & all my friends were pissed at me and said I missed out on the best party of the year! He totally packed one of our trance/house clubs and we have almost no candy kids over here.

Oh DaveT, sweet you know Majai! He is an awesome DJ and a great guy, got to talk to him a bit last night a DC chillout club night. I'll be seeing him tonight playing Classic Trance

No one understand why, really...has the popularity of his stuff from forever ago really stuck with people to the point they will go see him today?
