I think most of you guys forget that dj's are asked to do a remix for someone. It's not like Ti�sto thought 'hey, today I'ma do a remix for Moby'. It truly is a great honour, whether we like it or not, for Ti�sto to do a remix for Moby or the Dave Matthews Band. And hey... Moby made a terrible song with We Are All Made Of Stars, not even Ti�sto could make a good record out off that one :-)

yes, maybe it hasn't been tiesto's greatest months right now....like others said, he can't always produce banging tracks! maybe the record label ******s just say "you've got to give us a remix before next week"...and it seems like tiesto is on a permanent tour, and he's a fucking good dj, so i think you stop coming with these "tiesto sucks" comments and such things!!

maybe some of the remixes suck, but yeah just look at lethal industry, maybe it isn't top shit bang track, but i love it!!! can't you see, he CANT PROD. BANGING TRACKS ALL THE TIIIIME!

Thats too true. And you know, people need to realise that if a producer puts out one bad production/remix, it doesnt mean they are going to start sucking. And plus, producers like to experiment and stuff too sometimes, and try to evolve their style. You wont end up liking every single track they do. You'd best learn it now and face it

Dave Matthews NEVER asked Tiesto to do a remix of his song...Tiesto heard Space Between Us on the radio when he came here and liked the song so much he wanted to add his own touch to it..so HE asked Dave Matthews if he could do a remix..

and Sarah McLachlan doesnt like the remix of Silence...she also never asked Tiesto to do it...

either or i LOVE both tracks

Tiesto has made a mark on the scene that will be felt for DECADES to come...he is a pioneer as a producer and an inspiration as a DJ...he has produced some of the best tracks IMO of all time...not all but a shit load...

It is IMPOSSIBLE for a producer to make EVERY track to everyones liking..

i have come to the conclusion that BASHING a DJ is actually a compliment....its just showing that people expect the world from Tiesto because they regard him as 1 of the best DJs out..and when they dont like what they hear and are not happy, well its because they feel Tiesto is such a BRILLIANT producer and they expect to like every track he makes...but that cant happen...not with Tiesto or PVD or any DJ...

i mean i LOVE Tiesto...when i met him i actually was shaking and felt like a little kid meeting a super hero...i have EVERY set he EVER did...EVERY video he was EVER in...EVERY single he made and remixed..every track he produced...every picture from the internet and i have severl Tiesto posters...i have even gone as far as mailing and calling magazines and begging for back issues of issues that had articles with Tiesto in them..even 2 paragraph articles...

BUT with all my admiration and all my love for him and his music and his vibe,.,,i can honestly say that i do not like every thing he has done.....granted he was part of my 2 favorite tracks of all time Allure - No More Tears and Theme from Norefjell...but tracks like Lethal Industry and Battleship Grey i do not like...

does that mean i think Tiesto is trash...OF COURSE NOT...do i think cus he made 2 tracks recentley taht i PERSONALLY do not like that he is turning to shit and will never make good tracks again...ARE U FUCKING STUPID...no way...all it means is that i dont like those tracks but some other Tiesto fan does...and aslong as soem Tiesto fans are happy then so am i...

BESIDES...for the people who love Tiesto as much as i do...and this is for the people who REALLY like Tiesto...you know that when u see Tiesto LIVE in person..that he can take the shittiest track ever made and play it to you with his energy and vibe and you will walk out of that venue wanting to buy that track...he such a brilliant man and artist...his vibe is like no other and he will remain my favorite DJ for all time to come...

1) silence was by delerium so SM had no choice in the matter
2) SM now says is grown on her. i presume you read the saem interview i did? sound like it.
3) She asked tiesto to remix sweet surrender, so it obviously had grown on her, and it will probably sell more. hey i bought a copy and withouht the moddy beat tiesto added it would of sucked.


As for the topic... and dont think hes on a bad patch at all. If HE thought the remixes were bad he wouldnt release them, rank 1 - awakening for example. He obviously thinks what hes doing is good and so do i. Armin played the his remix of "we are all made of stars" so he prolyl thinks thats good to. You have to give credit for his production skillz, not wether its an anthem or not. christ almighty, as dead as it may be now, he released last years biggest single! mabye even singles... remember with remixes, theres only so much to work with. Can we put and end to these stupid threads?! they belong with the "what your fav choon eva" threads. shutup until youve got something equally as good in production to show off..

For some reason Tiesto has been kinda disappointing the past two sets. I mean his mixing skills are good and everything, but his choice of songs are somewhat becoming bland now. What kinda crappy track is the one at 52:50 @ Gatecrasher? It sounds like crap. I like hard trance, but I really dont like that particular track. His choice of songs lately have become less danceish, and more chill music I feel. Not sure if it's just me or not.. but his newer sets in general to me just feel more chill to me unlike his older sets.

For some reason i'm starting to like Paul Van Dyk more. I'm beginning to select tunes matching more into the dance trance kinda songs. Some of the new Tiesto sets has them but about 50% of his selection of songs I dont like ... although he is still one of my favorite DJs.

I personally love the Moby - We Are All Made Of Stars mix by Tiesto. But I prefer the Dub mix simply because the vocals suck IMO

Have to disagree there like, think both are nice tracks. Not amazing or super, Just nice and easy on the ears.

I liked The Space Between before it was remixed, which is probably why I like it so much now - Lovely

You can't just take any nice sounding vocals and make it into a trance song. That's why The Space Between Us sucks. And that Moby remix? UGH! It's terrible. I guess Moby asked him to remix that song since Tiesto is going to be on the Area:Two tour. Have you all heard the new Moby album. If you haven't, don't bother. It's trash.

Lost Witness did an alright remix using a "bitch rock" song. Coldplay - Trouble (not bad).

He is very talented and is respected probabily by 90% of trance listenners , only 30% would of heard most of his sets the other 70% just say they like him because of the 30% are presumed to be more cleaver.

I like Tiestos mix of the DMB very much those vocals rule! I only like his southern sun remix more! That track is from such a high level with a beautiful climax! The remix of Moby sucks, but who cares! I you dont like it, dont listen to it!

On what is Tiesto working at the moment?

He's just trying new styles. For about a year now he's been going very Techy and me with him. I think some of you guys are still expecting to hear the "delerium silence" tiesto style and he's moved on from that. And personally I'd follow the man anywhere.

I am from the states (Chicago) and had these types of views earlier when I first landed in the Trance genre. ummmmm, well, i know more than you think i do. i loved tiesto for years, but he's been striking out lately. i must admit, the isos cds, in my memory, and some of his livesets are great, but the last batch of remixes have left much to be desired. dmb one was good.

don't underestimate how much americans know about music.
and, don't try and smooch asses with foreigners either.

i will admit, american trance for the most part, sucks.
but we can still enjoy armin, ferry, hybrid, etc.

tiesto is due up at the plate with a 1 for 5 (DMB)

those are all old tracks, he said recently. But his recent ones are top notch. cept for..yesh.. moby.
