Since you brought it up...

Id rather listen to DJ Danny D and the Drive at 5 than watch 1000 tiesto crazed fans glow-sticking each other while tiesto, the god of DJs, sends everyone on a music filled magic carpet ride...

No Thanks.

I would too, but not the next time he comes to Toronto. So have fun with that, when all of your friends are at Lawler & Dubfire on Skybar.

Well fancypants I can't go to either because I get my wisdom teeth out on the 27th

Posted by Engine9 on Apr-03-2008 14:21:

Posted by capo tutti di on Apr-03-2008 14:23:

My mom booked it. Try explaining to your mom that you need to reschedule surgery to go to a party. I have tried. It is a blank stare, sigh.

Tiesto is awesome! His got some amazing tracks. He is awesome live too, especially when he throws some quality hip-hop on the decks...

Worm Popper

Overpackedness has been an issue; eveyone knows, so everyone goes.

The last time I saw him was at the Docks in Dec. '04.

All of my swelling was gone after the first 72 hours and I didn't have any bruising. As long as you follow everything they say and no solid foods and my painkillers did wonders for me.

You may be surprised to see yourself out and about on the 30th.

Def not real translation But they did a pretty good job of making it seem like it.

$80 for Tiesto?!?! Sorry, but count me out! No way I'd pay that much money to have room on a dancefloor! I understand prices are shy-high because Tiesto costs an arm and a leg to book, but you're all suckers if you're happy to pay that

Posted by Aaron Joseph on Apr-03-2008 16:28:

i think its quite amusing how any thread with the subject of Tiesto gets more than 4 pages of replies in less than a day!

Posted by MissK on Apr-03-2008 16:31:

Tiesto has given me one of my top 5 parties of all time! Dec 11. 2004 at the docks.

That party was

But he has disapointed us as Matt(The Ear) said, he has bailed on some of his gigs in Toronto earlier than schedualed, which in my opinion is probably one of the worst thing a DJ could do... ESPECIALLY if your friggin paying $60 to see the guy!

But Kris has given me faith in him with his review of Trance Energy 2008.

sooo true,, didn't anyone notice that when AVB made #1 ???

my best tiesto memory is when he was at the docks way back in like 2001 and everyone was goin nuts over him and the crowd was louder then the music.. they were chanting sooo loud the guy had troubles listening.. i believe he actually messed up the transition. ahhah.. anyone remember this?

i bear witness to this dancing she speaks of... ian we are watching you...

Thnx, now I totally understand all the Tiesto hate, those insights are just a bit deeper than "Tiesticle!" or Tiesto Blows!

I've seen him once at dragonfly in Niagara Falls and it was intimate and an amazing night.

Also, his productions and In Search of Sunrise albums are textbooks in trance and will forever be in my iTunes rotation.

However, f*ck me if Im paying over 50$ to see the guy. Cant beleive he's charging 80$....after taxes and service fees thats almost 100$.....for a party that lasts till 3am. Ha! I laugh at any gino that spends that money to show off his new haircut and drinks jagerbombs while Tiesto spins

Yay to his productions and albums

Nay to seeing him live

Posted by _EuG_ on Apr-03-2008 16:51:

It has to be all ages so that his wife can get in ... DUH!

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Apr-03-2008 16:52:

If you've never seen Tiesto before then you should definately see him once.....he will be a legend in the industry. He is to the younger generation what Moby is to the older generation.

That being said, I can stand to hear a live set from Tiesto at a club. I don't mind chilling out on the patio listening to some Tiesto Trance but at a club I don't want to be chilling.

If I had my choice of two parties to go to I think only one other DJ would make me choose Tiesto over him.
