yeah ive had 2 people bidding on me back and forth...the funny thing is like neither of them.
i made a facebook and only accepted adds from people i know. it was ok at first, but yeah... if people want to contact me, they call me, not buy me, poke me or send me fake internet gifts. shits wack mang, WACK.

I use it often as it's easy to keep in touch with a lot of people that I just don't find time to chat on the phone with, or who are in other countries anyway. Works quite well for what's it's intended for.
I only add or accept people I actually know. I don't need more randoms like on myspace.
The applications are getting out of control though for sure, but at least they are putting in new measures to make it much easier to deal with them. "Ignore All" <---Best button ever, but took them years to think of it

How do you not know your little sister Jenny?
Edit: Sorry, I was NOT trying to be a smartarse or anything. You didn't grow up with your sister?
Btw how old is this "sister" anyways??
imo facebook is a very useful tool.. it bundles my communication a little bit so i don't have to talk to zillions of diff people on diff pm systems/boards or IM's..
secondly it's quite clean and clear compared to myspace
i have facebook, and get the random friend notifications from old high school and college people now and again. i also get those annoying superpoke and other application notifications i usually ignore, so it's not a problem for me.

It's her half-sister, they just never really met ever.
i have a shitload of ppl on my facebook who are not really friends of mine.. loads of ppl i used to go to school with, its ok having them there, if i ever need to call in a favour somewhere its easy to find them..
i also have created a group called Oslo Electro, where I can send out messages to all the members to spam them with my promomixes etc lol..
the facebook spam is getting out of control .....
pissing me off nearly as much if not more than myspace.....
My sister would have just turned 15 (March 22). The reason I don't know her is because she is my half sister from my dad's last marriage, and my dad was killed a year after she was born. My step-mother never spoke to us again after that...probably because she tried to take everything we had away from us (money, house, cars, boat, etc.).
So, this should be interesting if it turns out to be her. Everything fits.

Make sure the first message is lengthier than that. You have to at least let her know a little bit about you and exactly who you are and why you are getting in touch with her. The tricky bit is to not go too into detail and open up until you actually get a solid response, otherwise she might get a bit shocked and not reply. Don't add her as a friend but send her a PM.
Good luck with it Jenny
