The competition was just intended to get more people to view the thread, and more as an invitation t put something up. As I said, hosting a month load of mixes on my rapidshare account is all I can offer as a 'prize', so lets just keep this as a tribute thread to your favourite dj's and rightly so, a showcase for others to have a dig at.

the artist i've chosen is jezper soderlund. i wouldn't call him my favourite by any means; i simply chose him because he's one of the most underrated players in the mainstream trance scene. by underrated i obviously don't mean undiscovered, but unduly slated based on his anthemesque melodic/uplifing tracks when his lesser known deeper techy material (mostly under the parc guise) is superb... which is what i've tried to showcase here;

parc - schizofren
jz - apocalyptica
parc - silver cell
parc - gibson
parc - get us out
arksun - arisen (parc remix)
airbase - pandemonium

Still will in fact, coz the Airbase sound is much different from his Parc aand JZ aliases

Well, since it's already been declared that 30 mins is too short, here's one I did a few weeks ago. It's full of solid techno stompers. If the referee is going to stick by the 30 minute rule, my first 30 minutes are all DJ OGI (it just fell together that way).

(this was recorded 1 year after moving to Holland from Montreal, and it's all records bought since being here).

Total play time is about 70 minutes

It's so that you choose only the best tracks of a particular artist, and even so have a tough time, fitting them into only 30 odd minutes. 60 odd minutes are the norm for an radio show, any tribute mix, but a 30 minute tribute mix calls for proper selection, proper track order and a proper showcase of only the best 5, 6 or if you re good enough 7 tunes of a particular artist.

I tried to follow your initial rules so it's 33 min long with imo some of the best Solar Fields' tracks .

So what is the (hard and final) limit? 40 minutes(and not a second over)? Sounds better. My first thought was to do Infected mushroom but thats a bit obvious... second thought was Shiva chandra but I don't have enough of their stuff. Electric universe could definitly make an interesting short mix though. I'll probably get it done in about a week. Perhaps a mod could sticky the winning mix for a week or something?
