Both of them are beautiful cities where people are very kind and friendly.
Please don't tell what you don't know.

That Charleroi is worse I really believe in an instant (and maybe the same can be said about Mons) as I have a friend who has been there and said it really is a dirty city.

But I'm only speaking from my own experiences now. So this is according to myself. And it's in comparison with the avarage Flemish city (e.g. Ostend, Courtrai, Brugges ... best to compare Tournai with those as I've been in all those cities in the same period of time). And I never talked about the people, so don't know why you're referring to that. What I'm talking about are the streets, the filth on it ... noting in comparison with the above mentioned flemish cities.

you all are speaking of dirty cities in Belgium, but have any of you seen the filth in Naples, It is bad here, we had a garbage strike and for 2 months no trash was picked up, we had rats, mice and roaches, I am just glad it wasnt the summer then it would have been much worse. But I think the dirties city in Belgium cant compare to Naples honestly. My wife is from Brasil and she said Naples is more like a 3rd world country than Brasil is. I am looking forward to going to some good Dance events, Drinking good beer, Eating some good food, and making some good Belgiun friends...

I agree. Even the dirtiest city in Belgium is a paradise when compared to where this guy is living ATM.

it's been on the Belgian news so we know about the situation ... and indeed, really looked horrific over there .
Only wanted to share my view on the subject in Belgium. And the thing that struck me about Tournai was the filth, but indeed, you can't compare it with the situation in Napels
