actually I would like to see them play together here in toronto. I believe the anticipation and build up for last nights event was large enough to look into attempting a booking sometime in the future. It would probably draw a similarly sized crowd, if not larger.

Sure Digweed was good, but the bottom line is there were alot of people who were there specifically for the novelty of seeing them together and that didn't happen. Guv handled it really well with the free tickets and all but I think they should definately look into booking what is a potential cash cow (for lack of a better term)

there seems to be an extremely subdued reaction to 1 half the bill not being there...most have seen Digweed than Sasha, Sasha was the key ingredient never mind the fact that they were expected to play together. This had all the potential to be a legendary party...which it was not, not that it was bad.

2 drink tickets is a piss poor prank played by people who will profit off the fact that partiers are happy with a good party, when this was meant to be more.

not looking to start a riot, but you lose a little faith in future bookings.

IMO 4 hour Digweed + a free pass for tonight (which is a fucking sick party btw)+ 2 drink tickets was over and above what Guv owed us last night. It was fair, and that's probably why people are so "subdued" about the night. Fuck man, cry about it.

That's not the point. I am hopeing, and this is me keeping my fingers crossed, that they will make an effort to hit up Toronto after their official tour ends.

I'm glad your trying not to be dissapointed about last night, I don't see how you couldn't.

It was decent of Guv to offer the free pass for Angello & Ingrosso and two free drink tickets. But I could care less, it didn't make up for anything.

I am not blaming Guv, it was out of their control. So thanks for the drinks, but let's bring 'em back.

shit i cant believe Sasha didnt show up!!
i wanted to go so bad but i guess it would have been pointless anyway

btw, i watched their 2004 Delta Heavy Tour DVD just recently and Sasha said how they had to sign (at least with some clubs) a document stating that if they don't show up to the gig they will be fined something like 100 grand. unless he has a doctors note or a police note, something like that
i wonder what the reason was..

Its not like it would be hard for him to get a doctors note anyways!

Every time there is a test in university about 10% of the class ends up getting doctors notes to skip the test!

Wasn't Sasha held up at the border - and his not making it to the show was beyond his control?

IMO - The Guv't handled the situation very well. I've been to parties before where a headliner was a no-show, and you had no idea until it was 3am and wondering "Why are they not on yet?"

They gave you the option of taking a full refund.
Or, going in - getting tickets to the next nights party AND free drink tickets, and they told you up front what was going on.

It's pretty hard to find fault in how the situation was handled. While I can understand there being dissapointment in Sasha not being there, to critize the club for how they handled it is uncalled for IMO.

The general consensus in this thread has nothing to do with bashing the club. It's obvious that they had nothing to do with it.

I see more ppl giving props to the club for handling the sitch
