On another note, anyone know what the policy is on opened packs of smokes? Do they do it massive style where they only allow unopened packs?

That was posted on April 10th. Granted it's Virgin (notably, one of Coachella's sponsors) so it's fairly credible, but the mere possibility of it happening is so slim that it's not even funny. I would be genuinely shocked if this is confirmed and even then will be holding my breath until Waters' performance next Sunday.

I might be staying with some friends, I won't be at Coachella but I might be in the area

me, hubby and my kids. We won't be there til later in the day so the kids won't bitch that its blazin hot. I'm preparing them for it by saying its outdoors, we'll be sitting on the grass for breaks and I don't want to hear "can we go now". Should be interesting.

We should also do a TA meetup at Denny's or something ghetto after friday/saturday night. Traffic is so horrific though, I dunno how many would make it.

i have $60 to my name and no job. my car payment is $250/month and its due in 1.5 weeks. my cell phone bill is $140 this month since i went over my minutes for the first time ever. if i had a job that i start after the festival, then id just borrow money, go do it and pay whoever i borrow the money from back after. i dont have that luxury at the moment though.

k. I have a few friends that are borderline wanting to go to coachella, I'll see if I can find a buyer for the ticket.

just tell them $300 now and ill sell it to whoever. i need to get rid of it now. they are $90 each day before all the ticketrapist fees, but you cant buy single day tickets online anymore. and the fees add $18 per day! its nasty! im losing like $30 on it.

My only complaints are Sasha & Diggers during Portishead (though I saw that one coming), Aesop Rock during Aphex Twin and Modeselektor + SMD during Roger Waters. Luckily, though, I get S&D up here tonight and 30 minutes of Modeselektor before heading over to Waters. Simian and Aesop Rock I'm not too bummed about missing.

I'd say craigslist it. The coachella forums would be another option, but they are loaded with people dumping tickets. Couldn't hurt to post it there though. I'll refer you if anybody comes up though.

Best of luck with the job and all. I had to sell my phone to go last year, and I had to advance a paycheck for the camping stuff this year . April is not the month for people with B's

So as far as a meet up for Sunday goes, I'm not sure when / where would be a good time for you guys, but I propose a little before five, where Tigo suggested (right side of the Sahara tent by the fence).

There's no one I'm absolutely THRILLED about seeing before Booka, so I'm not really sure when we'll be getting there. And I figure a lot of us will be in that area at that time, so it seems like a good idea. What do you guys think?

Also, any recommendations on who to see before then? Kinda interested to see what Perry Farrell does behind the decks, as well as Dimitri. Not a huge Deadmaus fan.

Lastly, for those of you that have gone before, what is traffic getting into the event like in the afternoon? Should I expect to be in stop and go on the freeway before even making it into town? How long does it takes to park and get in? And on that note, how long are the lines to get in once you get there? Just trying to figure out when I need to leave Temecula in order to get there in time for Booka Shade at least.
