imo norwegian would be a better choice than swedish.. practically the same, only a tad easier to learn, and it doesnt sound anywhere near as retarded as swedish does

Not really. Swedish can be used in area with almost 20 million people
It's spoken by more people than Norwegian and is partially spoken in Finland as well. Plus Norwegians can generally understand both spoken and written Swedish. With some slight modifications it's usable in Denmark too (I do it all the time).. Swedish is by far the lingua franca of the Nordic area.

norwegian and danish is pretty much the same, apart from how they sound the words. if you look at danish and norwegian writing its more or less the same..

seriously, why would anyone learn swedish??? hehehe...i mean..you can learn french, german, spanish and even portuguese...sure...spanish and portuguese are spoken in latin america and some african countries (ex. angola) and well, german is spoken by 80 millions in Germany itself + austria + liechtenstein etc.)

Don't get me wrong, learning Swedish for your pure pleasure is cool. But in terms of efficiency in an european business context and globalization, no waY!
