I know what you mean though... with the music blasting like that, it's almost like silence because it's so extreme you don't feel it anymore

I fall asleep anytime anywhere though

what were you drinking??

1 Sicilian Kiss shot..

1 Rev...

1 big Rock Star...

1 bottle of water...

I awoke to Mark on the mic saying that Dekoze was on after the next track...

If he hadn't have said that, I might have slept till close...

and lol at the beer nuts...

I still have some left...

I fell asleep at comfort zone :S
But woke up ready to dance harder than ever.

Thank god good people were sitting around me

So my question to you all is....

would you sit down on a bench on the side of the road and fall asleep simply because you were tired?

Maybe not like that but you've never taken a nap in a park???

What's with the fear of something happening to you while you're sleeping? I'm pretty sure you'd wake up if someone started touching you...

Hmmm, no, I really haven't. I have although fallin asleep on a beach and I wasn't alone.

Don't bouncers constantly wake you up?

I'm known to nap at Stereo, Montreal a lot. In fact, the Montreal people have dubbed me the "fetus" because I sleep in the fetal position at Stereo.

Their mdm is REALLY STRONG and when it hits me, I keep yawning and eventually fall asleep for about 30 mins. But when I wake up, it's on...

I was there this weekend for Chus and Ceballos and I passed out for 20 mins. Yikes.

I used to take naps in clubs all the time. There was nothing better than counting sheep with the sweet-melody-song-not-so-gay-kinda-tribal blend of tunes lulling me to sleep.

But then I had an incident.

Everyone thinks they're on top of the world, sure you can handle all that the world can throw at 'ya, but let me tell you this...

...it all changes when you have an incident.

So this incident begins as my normal naps do watching the dj take pictures with chicks, playing la-de-da tunes, so i figure, perfect down to go down for a few.

Then all of a sudden I'm waking up and I'm mid-dance move only I'm not where I began my nap...I'M ON TOP OF THE PODIUM!!!!

Not only am I on top of the podium, I'm on the podium with my shirt off dancing like a drunk gypsy wearing floral pants!

And now I'm stuck...having to try to live that down(like it's ever going to go away, yeah right).

So now that my self confidence is shattered, my reputation battered and my ego bruised I ask myself, "what did you learn from this situation?"

Don't take naps at clubs.

fell asleep twice at GUV, both times from heavy drinking. First time was at gallery and second time in the orange room. The orange room was a funny one cause I was out for a good 2 hours..all I remember is fully lying down in the lounge area and security coming over twice within that time frame and telling me to get up.

Women do not feel as threatened by men who are passed out. It is generally understood that people who are unconscious will not:
- be creepy
- try to chat you up
- try to feel you up
- try to slip you roofies

Paging Frankie Madgenta.... He's the king of sleeping at clubs/ raves. Its his routine. He loves it!!! He even took a nap in our guest room after his set at my BBQ a couple years back, and woke up to see the party full raging. lol.

As soon as I saw this thread title yesterday, Frankie was the first person who came to mind.

The Stereo bouncers just wouldn't let him sleep.. lol

The few times I've gone to take a quick cat-nap at clubs in Toronto, I usually get a bouncer flashing a light in my face saying "you cant do that!"

I did take a nap at Stereo before, was their 48 hour NYE party. I had already been home and back once or twice to get a 'solid' sleep in. But at my last round there, was getting a bit tired - so went back to the couches, took a 30 min or so power nap, go back up, danced my ass off some more for a few hours then went home and slept for a pretty long time.

Posted by Abercrombie on Apr-21-2008 14:15:

Next time I see people asleep in clubs I'm bringing a bowl of warm water to put their hand in.

Posted by StereoPrincess on Apr-21-2008 15:55:

yup. slept a couple of times. in montreal when the party goes to noon and then some.

i just need to sleep.

Posted by The Wiz on Apr-21-2008 16:38:

I could never relax enough to take a snooze. If i'm that sleepy in a club its time to go home.

Ok I feel i have to point out again that I was sober...

I'd admit if I wasn't...

Just really tired...

So markers, water, whatever...don't try it cause I'm not really a heavy sleeper...

Barbina...were you there Sat???

I think I saw you....

Posted by Yohan on Apr-21-2008 20:13:

If I'm pulling an all nighter, a 20 min nap somewhere in the club is good enough to get me that second wind to keep partying.

Posted by VDub on Apr-21-2008 20:29:

Nevermind Barbina...

You answered my question in another thread...
