Psy is still going strong.
Rest is sort of the reason why people who like electronic music are justified in putting trance fans alongside single celled organisms

there is some good but again, as much bad.
Yeah but on average my 'hit' rate for good Psy is about out of ten tracks you'll get at least 2-3 which are worthy and the rest are kind of just filler.
Mainstream trance... 1 in 30-40 which isn't just rehashed, reheated and regurgitated tripe?
1 in 50 now, however there are some really good labels putting out quality stuff all the time
I miss Chicane times. Tiesto's Nyana and live @ Dutch Dimension and ISOS. I miss discovering Perry and Ozgur times.
I miss Electronic Elements and the feeling I had listening Coldharbour Sessions for the first time.
I miss Jan Johnston and Justine Suissa. I miss Beachball, Ferry's Sublime and Armin's 76.
I miss the time when trance was something you supposed to FEEL instead of some noise to get drunk on in clubs :\
I'm a late bloomer, just got into trance in 2005/2006 when I heard Nothing but You by PvD. Nowdays, compared to that and about 7 other songs past that song's release, it's all misshapen and not what trance is meant to make you feel like. PvD's terrible now compared to Nothing but You. Trance is meant to have feeling, not something that you can play in a background. I noticed a bit of a flame when I got the Armin Only 2006 DVD, but apart from that, not much is doing trance good. We need a kick-ass DJ, and we need one NOW!

If I ever play trance, I almost always use pre-2006 tunes. It's very hard to find quality stuff these days. With that said, I moved from trance to prog house and prog breaks.

if im honest I dislike 2004-onwards so instead of looking for new ttracks I look for songs I haven't heard from the period of early 2000's and late 90's
w00t!
I'm sick of looking for good dance albums in shops and seeing eric prydz and cascada on ministry of sound other labels that helped used to do good trance justice.
le sigh at modern poop.

I think trance sucked ass cuz it was all psy-trance. Then I heard some good trance that sounded more like Enya to a beat around 1996. That all sounded good until someone made Gourysmella and all HELL broke loose and hoover trance massacred my ears from 1998 to 2003, when it finally died out and trance started to sounding good again. I think trance sounds great now. =)
