you haven't been there to see them so you can't make the assumption on the crowd they bring in

If pacha isn't your thing, then go check em out at Cielo

no

Can anyone link to a set? I've heard about these guys being great but never got around to listen to them because the girl that told me they were great is into cheesy commercial house...but since I totally trust IpLaYWiTLiGhTs' taste in music I might give 'em a shot...

i have to say these kids are extremely lucky to just cut in like they did without paying any dues and just cut straight into the big clubs without doing smaller gigs first.

proves all you need is the right people to back you up and your set in this business.

I'd like to get my hands on a set too. Who knows, maybe the set I went to got recorded. The promoters who brought them down usually record sets but I've never seen a set from TMB so I don't know if they prefer not being recorded?

Just check Youtube for those good ol' 10 second clips where you stare into darkness and listen to distorted audio .

and fuck, my SN is really irritating to read. Yay to adolescence. Think it might be time for a change...

I'm sorry but this looks fucking terrible.

LOOOK I JUST TURNED OFF THE WHOLE TRACK WITH THE FILTER!

Anyways I'm not into that big room house sound much. It gets old after about 2 songs.

SandCastles is a monster tune!!!!

I know it is. I didn't mean specifically THAT video, I mean what they play overall.

You're awfully critical for someone who's never seen them live. I've seen them twice and enjoyed them tremendously. By 4AM they were playing straight up dark sexy funk and disco from the 70s, the entire room was having a blast. I don't know, but I don't see a set like that too ordinary or commonplace, no matter what their age, you would think by listening to them they had a musical/house background of 20 years with the stuff they were playing.

For the record, when they're not playing a few Pacha's or "Guido spots", they're playing some of the most legit venues throughout the world.... Does Shelter ring a bell? How about 718 Sessions? I've never seen such a hater for someone who's never seen the said-person play! lol... You picked the wrong act to associate with the "Guido" crowd, their following is far from Guido.

I'm gunna be careful about what I say in the Music Discussion forums, wouldn't want people doing a background check like that everytime I post, because that's normal and all.

Well, their schedule in the next few months take them everywhere from Pacha Ibiza to France to South Africa to Korea, etc.... elFreak insinuating that they play for guidos doesn't really apply considering how global they are Didn't mean to imply that Shelter and 718 parties are the end-all of house parties throughout the world, but, within New York, I'd considering them musically legit, pretty much as good as it gets for a deep house DJ. They're not the best DJs out there, but that tracklist someone posted isn't close to the quality house music I heard the couple times they played, they really brought the vibe, loved every minute of it

Yours truly reppin' the NY Yankees hat to the far right during the last minute or so when they do crowd shots (slightly elevated higher than everyone else).

There is nothing better than listening to that song at 6 in the morning while Hawtin plays it.

Nothing

meh...I rather hear it peak hour. 6 is a bit too early/late for me. That video was around 2 and I was tired as fuck already. Usually want to be nice and dead in my bed around 4ish.

I could imagine the crowd reaction though...
