this is all pop/commercial stuff, except for bb maybe since he does get dark and dirty. this is necessary though, the underground can't exist if theres no pop to reference it from.

there are more girls at commercial nights, but the music sucks. at minimal/tech nights, the music is much better, but less girls. you cant win.

I see where you're coming from, but I've seen some phenomenal women dancing around my areas @ veryyyy dirty minimal/tech shows, you just have to know the right DJs which attract that crowd...

thats all, and there is nothing wrong with that... Tommie Sunshine is always good and JXL at Czar should be interesting. Only seen him at Ultra.
Sure, Ferry and Benassi were just here, but for some reason Green Iguana wants to throw their name in the hat. As poppy as some of you may think it all is, more shows are good.
If we, as an area, have come to the point where world-popular DJs like Ferry Corsten and Benassi play for $10 and most people here are like eh, i'm not going... then I think we are going pretty solid.

i hope its a great turnout for the sake of the "scene" but please do not mention those 3 and dj in the same sentence. i've gone to check them all out to support the scene and they both have let me down every time. ferry at various events over the last year and the last straw with benassi at dolce in orlando. trainwrecking left and right. Guess i'll keep my opinion to my self since so many people around here have sand in their vagina.

Re: Re: Upcoming Tampa Shows

Tampa has an underground scene, definitely. Fuck Ybor, it was either at the Underground, or these 500-1000 field parties out on the outskirts, like maybe 45 minutes outside Tampa. You will never hear of these events advertised on the radio or anything. Get the flyer thru' myspace or whatever network/forum or random shows. Beat Harvest was it. Google that shit...

Nightmoves and the Underground are probably the only places I go here in Tampa...

this is a brilliant idea. I hope the rest of the haters take your advice.

I believe it's called touch base. If it is like Beat Harvest, I'm definitely gonna try to go. I hate not being prepared. Need a tent, booze, food, etc. etc...

i just didnt like the music or the stage in those vids. can you give more details? is there more than just one source of music or is it just one stage? does anyone bring a generator and do their own thing?
