But toronto is a great city in spite of those who populate it. Many many great things to do and see and summer is great! Now if the people here just chilled out it would be almost perfect.

hmm... i really wouldn't have expected that from toronto... i'm not really a "people person" type guy who goes out of his way to speak to random people he doesn't even know (despite my being from the southern US, which is known for its hospitality).

what about vancouver?

sometimes... not all the time. is it like UK weather?

Try Montreal first (especially in the summer) for about 3 months THEN move to Toronto. Chances are you'll like Montreal more. I'd never live there, though, just a great place to party!

(lots of cock sucking goes on there as well, I hear)

as long as it's heterosexual cock-sucking, i'm fine.

Come to Toronto,Montreal and Vancouver for few months because:
better food and variety of restaurants (doggy bags not allowed here ),

better music scene (at least Toronto and Montreal)

better party scene (does LA have a party scene ?)

Different european DJ`s coming to play here (not much of that happy homo vocal house played here).

Whatever your sexual orientaion you might be you don`t even have to wonder about what will people think.

Those 3 cities are divescity (Toronto: indians, asians, Montreal: arabs, Vancouver: asians)

In this country, you are what you are.

Come to visit, you will see a different
way of living. In fact, a great way of living where public transport is effecient in any of those 3 cities.

Posted by Jayx1 on Apr-23-2008 04:23:

no doggy bags? what? Canada is all about the "would you like me to wrap it up?" service.

I think u may have us confused with europe!

As for public transport (in toronto at least) dont even get me started!

don't move to Montreal unless your french is really good.

I'm sick and tired of being served by pimple heads who tought that studying/moving to Montreal is cool but don't bother puting two french words together.

Lake beaches don't count... it's like the muddy banks of any lake with sand dumped on it.

You gotta smell the sea!

Canada has beaches! Lol.

And guys they are not that bad!!!!

If you really want beaches go to Vancouver. Tofino beach is one of my favourite places to be. Although its not in Vancouver its worth the 7ish hour drive.
The one thing I miss the most since Ive moved here is the beach. The toronto beach is HORRIBLE. The sand is hard, and you dont want to swim in the water. But you can still tan and it has that relaxed beachy feel. But for a weekend getaway you can go to Wasage Beach or Sauble Beach. Ohhhh and you cant forget the nude beach on the island

Really if you want beaches, move to punta cana.

As for Toronto winters. Toronto isnt that bad. Yes it can get cold, but you buy a warm jacket. Toronto SOMETIMES gets a lot of snow, and then you just buy some proper winter boots. If weather is going to help make up your mind its a tie between Van. an Toronto. Montreal still had snow on the ground this weekend :S.... They can have horrible winters. Vancouver has too many cloudy rainy days, and Toronto has cold, snowy days....

i'm writing about people occupying a job interacting with the public, not being able to exchange with their clients.

true, native language skills are a must for any customer service job

i just hate when that attitude transcends onto tourists

hmm.... toronto surely does have the Guv... hmm... i've heard that vancouver is absolutely beautiful, though... i guess i'll just have to visit both cities and decide. as far as montreal goes, i've heard a lot of shitty stories about it... i've also heard something about them wanting to split from the rest of canada..? what's that all about?

Posted by malek on Apr-23-2008 23:39:

yeah its very shitty, thus we want to split, get it? EOD.

Posted by Special K on Apr-23-2008 23:42:
