It sounds like you have it all figured out. Do what we got to do. Right? You mean like get peoples addresses and drive to their house and pick them up and force them to the club? This is a lot of talk with no real real solid advice. You see it as an ends to a means because you like others on this elitist forum have tunnel vision. Is it more important to keep EDM this private club for only select people or to make it grow? Do you not see a problem with the EDM scene? You obviously do not see the problem with EDM when people do not come out. Therefore it takes more creativity in the bookings. I rather hear DJ Sammy personally than hip hop. His productions are decent. I am not the only one because people will turn out. Thankfully the entire scene does not visit this board but mostly bedroom dj's and song critis. |
With all due respect, FUR brought some of the coolest names in trance (most of which didn't even come to NYC) for like 5 or 6 months and the threads on here wouldn't get more than 4 replies, so I don't think people should NOW be criticizing now that they need to bring Sammy there to get some heads back in there. You can't be like "Keep it real and bring good trance acts," cos....... they did, and it didn't work.... Granted, there's a million other factors that go into getting people out, but it seems like DC doesn't have a Love or Sully to bring some of these smaller acts out, that might be a good alternative.
