I love it. I think it's a great idea. It's easier to talk to someone rapidly instead of messaging them and having to refresh constantly.
I hope it puts an end to MSN. Being able to consolidate the two programs would make everyones life easier. And since I'm sure everyone has more people on their facebook friends compared to their msn contact list, then Facebook is the obvious choice. That and you don't have to install a program on the computer to use the full version: something ideal when you aren't at home. All it needs is file transfers.
edit: Maybe I want MSN to die because I never forgave it for killing off ICQ.

| Originally posted by afterhrsgurl I disagree. Not everyone I talk to on MSN has facebook as well. Just because I have more "friends" on facebook doesn't mean I talk to them as much as ppl on MSN. |

| Originally posted by kotsy I'm fully aware of that. I was anti-facebook for quite some time. The fact is most people aren't anti-facebook and when MSN-only users start logging on to see less and less people online they will conform. They just won't have a choice. I never switched to MSN from ICQ because I wanted to. I did it because there was literally no one left on ICQ. |

MySpace did this a while back but it never really caught on.
Facebook has it better integrated but I still don't think it's very useful. I doubt I'll be using it.

I think Facebook chat is like hooking it up via intravenous for those who are already hopelessly addicted to it
not including me
