Amen to that.
I welcome Cedar Fair with open arms. They actually know how to operate a theme park and it shows through their hordes of other successes.

Paramount bought Wonderland in 94 and added Top Gun.. errr.. Flight Deck in 95 (only 4 years after Vortex). Here we are 13 years later and we're just now getting another coaster. Makes me wonder how long Paramount would've waited.

Most stadiums nowadays change their name. Sponsorship = $$$$

Fed Ex Field, Gillette Stadium, K-Y Sports Arena etc.

this is the point I've been trying to make for a while. Paramount has been content with building "carnival" type rides at the park ever since Top Gun was constructed back in 1994. That's 14 years later and the park never saw a major ride upgrade until now that CedarFair has taken over. If you compared that with many of Paramount's other parks, Wonderland has seriously lacked the type of attention that some of its sister parks have gotten over the years.

Just take a look at what Six Flags did with La Ronde in Montreal and Darien Lake in Buffalo after they acquired those 2 parks. It's a shame that the company has divested over the years as it would have probably kept up the competition with CedarFair to continue adding top quality coasters and rides. Fortunately Anheuser-Busch and Disney are still making major inroads into the theme park business and should keep up the pressure.

Really looking forward to what CedarFair will be bringing to the park in the next few years..

call the roller coasters Flying Monkey Butts and it still wouldn't make a difference in the ride....really who gives a flying monkey crap.

Sounds more like they lost some licenses.

EDIT: I've got to read threads before posting.

It seems like it could be for what Diesel was saying. Legality issues...

You bring up a good point.
