Rhadoo vs Raresh vs Pedro - Their sets have been some of my favorite downloads the past while.

There are quite a few techno guys I'd love to hear on Stereo's system, but doubt they could draw a big enough crowd to make it worth while - Seph, Barem, Shonky, Tractile, Sleeparchive - would need to have them be openers for someone like Hawtin or Magda to get people out, /sigh.

What tribal bookings? Who really plays tribal anymore?

Posted by mazen316 on May-07-2008 06:11:

my point exactly, no one...they play tribal influenced tech. the only regulars who are different other than the trance folks are sultan, ned and maher's nights and desyn and the odd booking of digweed, warren and prydz every once in a while...

who u ask? victor calderone, d formation, behrouz, chus and ceballos to name a few....

this is just my opinion..

Posted by fullhouse on May-07-2008 10:54:

i'm sorry...prydz every once in a while.......

Posted by elFreak on May-07-2008 13:02:

those guys for the most part do not play tribal anymore.

Posted by viciousmarie on May-09-2008 15:42:

Mark Knight, Robbie Rivera, Steve Angello again...Armand Van Helden....Dennis Ferrer...

Please go see one of these DJ's spin a set (now), they really have moved away from Tribal.
If you are basing yourself on them 2 years ago, yes, they did play hardcore tribal, all of them.

I'm actually from Toronto, and get out to the local techno parties pretty frequently and support the smaller promoters/locals/DJs/etc.

Given the right names - I'll haul ass to Montreal, but it isn't always in my budget to do so.

i did go elie, i went to see chus and ceballos who were my favorite djs, calderone and vibe...i dont mind stereo booking them at all cause a lot of people enjoy them...but what i meant by toning down on the tribal djs was for stereo to book djs like dave seaman, rowan blades, jody wisternoff..

something fresh and new here

Gotta agree for Wisternoff,Blades and Warren, in fact i pretty much agree with most of the names called out, now listening to a bit more techno heck even some "speeded up" minimal these days, Raresh and Luciano put up some great stuff,Villalobos too of course, these 3 put on a very good show

Luciano:

Dont ask about the dick (see preceding link), i have no idea either, heck i dont want to know, hopefully he doesnt get mixed up and try to drink water from that

Raresh:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ET41...feature=related

That track really dont sound like minimal. Sounds freakin sick, i was just waiting for him to drop a massive bassline.

without being a big minimal fan, this is noice, real noice, not sure it would fit well with the Stereo.

Raresh with a bit of oonf behind it - think it'd work well at a place like stereo. He play's different at outdoor/daytime parties than he does indoors / after hours.

and some more..

Or how about Rhadoo

The track in that video is sick - love it so much. I'm a disco tek robot and I'm here to make you dance.

[[ LINK REMOVED ]]
- sick set, I've listened to it about a dozen times the past week or so.
