Go Croatia. Will be tough with the Germans in there and Poland is no push over, but let's just make it out of the group stage. Then it's game on.

The best part is that if you keep listening, the song says:

Everyone seems to know the score
They've seen it all before
They just know
They're so sure

That England's gonna
Throw it away
Gonna blow it away

True story.

Crap decision-making by the FA, the inflated egos of the squad, and the unnecessary media circus always following them have made me appreciate their absence from this tournament.

And I was born in Britain and have been a supporter since I was young.

Also, a true story.

Goalkeepers: Casillas (Real Madrid), Reina (Liverpool), Palop (Sevilla).

Defenders: Albiol (Valencia), Arbeloa (Liverpool), Capdevila (Villarreal), Juanito (Real Betis), Marchena (Valencia), Navarro (Real Mallorca), Puyol (Barcelona), Ramos (Real Madrid).

Midfielders: Alonso (Liverpool), Cazorla (Villarreal), Fabregas (Arsenal), De la Red (Getafe), Iniesta (Barcelona), Senna (Villarreal), Silva (Valencia), Xavi (Barcelona).

Strikers: Guiza (Real Mallorca), Sergio Garcia (Real Zaragoza), Torres (Liverpool), Villa (Valencia).

viva espana!

And I'm glad we didn't make it. the fa took the cheap choice in mclaren, he was a "yes" man to the jerks in suits there and we got what we deserved for a lack of ambition in that sense.

Del piero for topscorer

Updated the squads, except Greece because I'm racist (they haven't announced yet )

Looking just at the amount of individual talent, the french team is absolutely amazing, and they still have to leave 7 of them out.

And that's after cutting Clichy, and especially Sagna, who had a great first season at Arsenal.

Here is Italy's 23 man provisional selection:

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Marco Amelia (Livorno), Morgan De Sanctis (Sevilla)

Defenders: Fabio Cannavaro (Real Madrid), Marco Materazzi (Inter Milan), Christian Panucci (AS Roma), Andrea Barzagli (Palermo), Gianluca Zambrotta (Barcelona), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Fabio Grosso (Lyon)

Midfielders: Andrea Pirlo (AC Milan), Gennaro Gattuso (AC Milan), Massimo Ambrosini (AC Milan), Daniele De Rossi (AS Roma), Simone Perrotta (AS Roma), Alberto Aquilani (AS Roma), Mauro Camoranesi (Juventus), Riccardo Montolivo (Fiorentina)

Forwards: Luca Toni (Bayern Munich), Alessandro Del Piero (Juventus), Antonio Di Natale (Udinese), Marco Borriello (Genoa), Fabio Quagliarella (Udinese), Antonio Cassano (Sampdoria, on loan from Real Madrid)

Defence looks solid, only doubts for the midfiel is why he picked Camoranesi whose been a ghost all year. And I very much like that he picked Cassano although he is a nutter.

Cassano is in some outstanding form, his inclusion goes to show that donadoni isn't perhaps as scared to make the big decisions as I gave him credit for. As long as he can be kept from going crazy like he has a habit of doing then I think he'll be a very important player for italy.

I think the youngsters in midfield, aquilani and montilivio could have a big role to play as well. I think they are both excellent prospects and di natale should start up front with luca toni imo.

Not sure why he has included ambrosini, not a player I rate at all. same goes for chiellini.
