Who honestly wants to buy the premium account?

It's the American way, and we all know that the internet was created and is owned by America.

I would subscribe... if everyone used rapidshare... but the don't and I'm not subscribing to rapidshare and megaupload etc

Power cycling doesn't give you a new IP unless you are at the end of your DHCP lease. Most ISPs in the US and Europe, have a 30day lease on the IP.

Just reconnect after downloading to avoid the waiting period...
I thought everybody knew that by now.

Megaupload, rapidshare, yousendit are all crap. I hate downloading from them.

I'd say Megaupload is the best of that bunch of popular hosters. Rapidshare has the wait between downloads issue, the fucking cats and a 100MB limit. Yousendit has a very low limit of downloads per file. The worst is Sendspace though, the files are unavailable, like, 80% of the time.

Megaupload does have one issue, too few download slots per some countries. It used to affect me but it not anymore, maybe they've increased Portugal's slots.

True, but it's still annoying and it doesn't work for many people due to their connections.

What about the arbitrary "hi you dl lots of stuff please wait 2 hours try again" issue

Posted by noikeee on May-14-2008 12:08:

Megaupload never did that to me

Created yes. Owned no.

this may be the new way to go!

http://www.windowslive.com/skydrive...button_05132008

5GB free online storage, files shareable.

Posted by KiNeTiC ENeRgY on May-14-2008 14:47:

Rapidshare has some of the fastest download rates, and holds non-active files longer than the others which is why its used the most. Compare to sendspace which is capped at ~ 30kbps down

Exactly. Cable and most dsl connections now, no longer have short DHCP lease times. So reconnecting won't help.

fuck I can't stand that. I have only gotten it once though on megaupload. On rapidshit, I usually have to wait like 3-6hrs before I can download again. So shitty.

I can't. Damn assholes with version control on firefox addons. They are all for 2.x and not 3. 2.x is a pos.
