Filenames: - (remix info etc...) They all go into one directory most of the time. Then I burn 'em to CD. I mainly use tags to find things, though. Make playlists for specific genres or moods. That kind of thing. Check out the Tag Editor/Renamer/Whatever_you_want_it_to_do Program Helium. <a href="http://www.helium-mp3.com/helium/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.helium-mp3.com/helium/</a> very nice. Find a crack and you're set. (There's a little bit of a bug when you install and try to create Wizards. Go into the preferences and make sure the settings point to the appropriate directories... they don't by default. And don't try to edit tags for any MP2 files, or anything other than MP3 for that matter!) Check it out. If you use tags a lot, it'll be worth it! I'm also trying to get together an Access database to track all my CDs that I've made and make it easier to make lists. Haven't quite gotten around to it yet, but that's the plan. I know an uncle who bought a million records, now their antiques. 3. I saw this once on an ftp and think it`s brilliant. Let me explain the concept: Let`s say you have a song from artist A and consider it to be hardtrance and you also consider it an excellent song. Normally you would have to choose to create one of the three possible structures and put the song in it, or copy the song three times. With logic folders you can achive all three structures and only have the song in one of them or in a completely different folder. In the folder Artist A, the folder hardtrance and in the folder excellent you would find something like a link to that song without the song being really there. The question I have is: Does anyone know how to create these folders in Windows? I once saw them and they had a red arrow in the folder icon marking them as logic folders. If anyone knows how to create these folders or if you just want to tell us how you organise your mp3s (or if you have already posted here and changed your way of organising them) please reply here!
