I'd say something, but i don't think mere words can explain the hilarity of a tiesto, coca cola and china combo.
Where's TheMaster when you need a good dose of tiesto loyalty...

Good for him.
He's a successful artist not Mother Teresa.
TIESTOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What is next? National anthems (Tiesto style) at baseball games? Kiddie cartoons endorsed by the man himself? Tiesto snowmobiles?
C'mon.
Good for him.
I guess according to Tranceaddict if you make music for anyone in the entertainment industry, like Paul Oakenfold making tracks for Music and videogames, you have sold out.
Tranceaddict rule #20:
A DJ cannot do anything but play in clubs and cannot cross over into anything that is not club or rave related.

i think 99.9% of people would, maybe i misread what you were saying as criticism but people getting on his case for being a sell out are crazy. Success(monetary) in the grand scheme of things means doing things like this. Not always but hell, most people would given the oportunity.
all this said i still think it will be a shit song and shit performance
click for sample
is even worse than dance4life
The guy's making millions, he's financially set for the rest of his life. Good for him.

| Tiesto in some australian mag "The trancey crowd is more into the music, so they are very fanatical in voting. It's a way of life for them. House people just go to a club, drink their champagne and they don't really care, and the same with techno people, I guess. Those people care less about the music. Thats why trance got so extreme, because the people who love it really love it. They go crazy, they are very passionate about it. Trance people are also very open minded, trance is just a name, a stigma. It's got so much more to it. You see many diversions from it. You can play whatever you want nowadays and call it trance music, anything with a little bit of a melody is called trance, so that's good." |
I want a tiesto YOYO...maybe they will bring one out lolly

| Tiësto had been provided with a theme and using his music as his form of expression, he created a song that expanded on his inspiration, drawn from the theme. The title of the track he created will be "Global Harmony". The collaboration is based on the contribution of Chinese visual artist Xiao Xue who designed a new limited-edition Coca-Cola bottle. The graphic arts featured in the design, were then united with Tiësto's track, thus showing the basis of the concept: the possibilities that emerge when cultures of all parts of the world come together. Both the artistic and cultural exchange of this first ever project resulted in a total of eight limited-edition aluminum contour bottles by the title "WE8", which refers to the collaboration between West and East around eight different themes. |
ASIAN FLUTES! ASIAN FLUTES!
im interested in hearing the track by tiesto and see what he does with it.
Bloody hell, seven of the eight musical tracks were just awful (the Jamaican entry being the only half decent one).
Couldn't Coca-Cola engage someone like Danny Howells or Luke Fair for a project like this? Those two could bang out an accessible, yet quality track in a heartbeat.
